FEBRUARY, 2010 - HISTORY IS MADE AT MISSION CENTRAL
What blessings are associated with the United Methodist connectional church! As Mission Central is reaching out with both UMCOR(United Methodist Committee on Relief) and Haiti Outreach, there have been countless individuals, churches, HUBs and Conferences working with us to be the hands and feet of GOD to those in need. My Mother always told me "many hands make light work."  Well, it is so very true as we all work together to find ways to lighten the burden of those affected by the earthquake(s). February began the march of thousands of health kits into Mission Central to replace the depleted supply  (20, 026 kits) that was sent to the UMCOR distribution depot in Louisiana the week of the Haiti Disaster. Ever since then, kits have been coming into Mission Central every day from all over the Northeast U.S. We are told by UMCOR that in 4-8 weeks, when shipping becomes feasible to Haiti, we will be asked to ship more relief kits of all kinds, and no doubt some will go to Chile also.
February also marked the addition of 3 new HUBs to the Mission Central HUB Project. On February 15th, we welcomed HUBs in 2 new annual conferences - Eastern PA AND Baltimore-Washington.

Then on February 22nd, we added another HUB from Eastern PA Conference, from Bethlehem, PA.

These HUBs add more hands to share in mission ministry in their area and in helping Mission Central. They are all 3 full of enthusiastic volunteers and Christian commitment to spread the love of God to those in need. The HUBs now total 16 with several others in the birthing process. God is truly filling this HUB Project with grace, energy, committed volunteers, and blessings.
