Hello-

It's that time of year again, where daylight and weather conditions impact road safety. Driving in snow has its own special challenges, not just for the common driver, but for snow plow operators as well who are trying to keep roads safer for all of us during the winter months.

Snow Poles Guide the Way, Regardless of the Weather

Mt. Hood

Every winter, over 115,000 people are injured and over 1,000 are killed on America's highways due to snowy, slushy and icy roads.

Snow removal from highways present some unique problems, especially at night and at dusk and dawn when visibility is reduced.  There is a critical need for highly visible guides that help plow operators to avoid hazards and reduce damage to fixed objects.

Research has shown that fluorescent colored Snow Poles grab the eye's attention quickly and provide plow operators advance warning of snow buried fixed objects such as metal guardrails.

Unlike thin fiberglass strips, Pexco, Davidson Traffic Control Product's

round poles are a highly visible target from any angle of approach, showing operators where to plow safely.  Reflective sheeting can be affixed to the poles for even safer guidance after dark.  Using Snow Poles improves operator safety and reduces replacement costs by effectively guiding your plowing operations, day or night.

The Durability and Uses of Snow Poles and Posts
Ski Snow Pole
Pexco's Snow Poles can weather stormy conditions! Our poles have proven their value time and time again. In addition to our standard UV-stabilized colors - Orange, Yellow, Red and Blue - we are now pleased to introduce two bold new colors, Fluorescent Orange and Fluorescent Yellow.

Both the poles and posts employ our exclusive honeycomb cross-section interior that provides great strength while being lightweight. Our specially engineered plastic alloys are modified for cold temperature impact resistance. Like a tree in the wind, our poles bend under a load and then snap back into a full upright position. With a combination of quality materials and design, our poles assure a superior performance in tough conditions.

You won't get this kind of performance with wood, bamboo or plastic pipe. Even costly fiberglass posts can't give you the vivid brightness and visibility in low light conditions that our Snow Poles can.

Our poles and posts can also be used to:

  • Mark culverts and drains
  • Locate junction boxes
  • Mark fire hydrants (3639 Blue)
  • Set snowmobile courses
  • Mark cross-country ski trails
  • Support banners and signs
  • Secure snow fencing
  • Delineate lift lines
  • School Crosswalk Flag Staff (3639 Florescent Yellow Green)
