Cinnamon Bark
Essential Oil
The warm spicy aroma of cinnamon has been sought throughout the ages both as a valuable commodity and for its ability to improve wellness. Traditional Raisin Scones
Ingredients:
3C All-Purpose Flour
1T Baking Powder
1C (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4C, Plus 2T of Sugar
3 Large Eggs
1/3C Buttermilk
1/2 Cup Raisins
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together the flour and baking powder. In a separate bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Add the 1/4 cup sugar, beating until pale and fluffy. Add the eggs 1 at a time, and then add the flour mixture and the buttermilk. Sprinkle the raisins over the dough and gently fold them in. Using an ice-cream scoop, place mounds of dough on a baking sheet and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with butter and preserves. |
