The Help Premier
Recently, The Help, written by Kathryn Stockett, premiered at Malco Grandview in Madison, MS. This was the first premier to ever have been held in Mississippi. The premier was a way for The Help producers, staff, and cast to give back to the community where most of the movie was filmed- Greenwood, MS (for their Baptist Town Community Development; a historic African-American community in Greenwood). Tickets were available for purchase to the general public and the Fairview Inn was pleased to host a luncheon for the stars of the film and members of the community before the movie premier.
Through ticket sales, over $150,000 was raised for the Baptist Town Community Development! Below are some pictures from the luncheon hosted at the Fairview Inn: The Help themed desserts (Chocolate pie, assorted mini cupcakes, pecan squares and more).

We also decorate the restaurant to fit the theme and find entertainment to accompany the meal. We think the Culinary Tour idea is a great way to give people a culinary escape in their own backyard (we also give away an incredible grand prize for one lucky winner- see about for rules and more info).
