crawfish dip Message from the Innkeepers
Many of you may know that Peter's mum (as they say in England), was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and a serious heart condition. Ro has declined treatment and has moved into the Fairview Inn from her home in North Carolina.
Due to the uncertainty of Ro's health, Peter & Tamar have decided to postpone the Chef's and the City event for this year."It was an agonizing decision", said Peter, "but we thought it best given the circumstances."
The Sharp's still hope to honor Simon and contribute to the two charities that are recipients of the Chef's event proceeds-Blair E Batson Hospital and BSA-Andrew Jackson Council. We intend to offer opportunites for the community to get involved and honor Simon's life through the Eagle Fund. More details to follow in the October newsletter.
The Chef's and the City event will be brought back in 2011. We thank you for your understanding and continued support.

"Help" ....the book....the movie.....the PACKAGE?
In anticipation for the best selling novel becoming a major motion picture, we are developing a "Help" package. With this package, fans of Kathryn Stockett and "The Help" will be able to experience first hand where the setting of the story took place. The package will include overnight accommodations at the famous "Fairview Mansion," as mentioned in "The Help," an authentic Southern dinner reflecting the Southern cooking of the novel, and a CD/instruction sheet that the listener can play in his or her car and drive and see all of the major locations in the novel. More details on this package are to come.. Stay tuned!

Sophia's NEW Lunch Menu!

The next stop on Sophia's Culinary Tour is Germany, on October 29 & 30. Fitting for the month because of Germany's Oktoberfest, the menu will feature a five-course German meal. The restaurant will be decorated in German decor and attendees will be entertained by German music. This will be very casual and great fun with a group of friends! Germany is the second to last stop on Sophia's Tour- so, if you haven't attended one of these delightful dinners yet, October will be an excellent, not to mention extremely tasty month. For the month of November, Sophia's will feature New Zealand, on November 12 & 13. Seating for the dinner will be on the half hour, starting at 5:30, for reservations, please call 601-948-3429 ext. 301 or 305.

Sophia's wants you to stay healthy! Stevia is now available in the restaurant. What is Stevia? Stevia is a sweetner. Stevia has many excellent properties. The body does not metabolize the sweet glycosides from the stevia leaf or any of its processed forms - so there is no caloric intake. Stevia doesn't adversely affect blood glucose levels and may be used freely by diabetics. To read articles on the benefits of Stevia, click here: Stevia
