A lot of exciting things are happening at the Fairview Inn! Our much anticipated GIFT SHOP is OPENING April 19th. With the opening of the gift shop, you will now be able to take a piece of the Fairview home with you to remind you of your charming experience at the Inn. The Gift Shop will offer Fairview logoed items, antiques, mississippi gifts, artwork, notecards, unique gift and sundry items. The Gift Shop is located behind the office just off the main lobby.

WEDDING SEASON
 The Fairview Inn is the perfect venue for every wedding event! Whether the event is the wedding ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower, the hospitable staff at the Fairview works to make every detail of your special occasion truly unforgettable.
From March until August, the Fairview is bustling with everything wedding! There are many different days to hold your special wedding event available. Not only are the traditional Saturday weddings extremely popular, but Friday and Sunday weddings are becoming a favorite day, as well. The Fairview Inn can accommodate traditional weddings, contemporary weddings, intimate weddings, ethnic weddings and more! Indoor and outdoor ceremonies are available for intimate groups of 20 or elaborate gatherings up to 650.

Originally from Jackson, MS, Amy Grace has been with the Fairview Inn since January, 2010. A 2007 Mississippi State University graduate with a degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Human Development and Family Studies, Amy Grace was previously the manager and buyer for Aspen Bay Candles and Gifts in Starkville, MS.
Amy Grace enjoys being outdoors, traveling, spending time with family and friends, gardening, and interior design. She also enjoys spending time with her husband J.D. and their two dogs, Bonnie and Bruce. On June 30, 2010, Amy Grace and J.D. will celebrate their third wedding anniversary. They had their wedding reception at the Fairview Inn!
Amy Grace oversees group catered events, weddings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. She prides herself in taking care of all of the special details and requests of her clients and enjoys making sure that everyone has a memorable experience when visiting or having an event at the Fairview!

COMMUNITY CORNER
TASTE OF MISSISSIPPI- MARCH 29
The 22nd annual Taste of Mississippi was outstanding this year! The event featured culinary delights from more than 40 fine restaurants, a silent auction and live music by Pryor and the Tombstones. All of the proceeds benefitted Stewpot Community Services, whose mission is to provide for the needs of the homeless, elderly and disabled in the Jackson metro area.
Sophia's Restaurant Chef, Gary Hawkins, prepared Creole Red Bean Cassoulet for the event, which was a favorite among guests. At the event, we had a drawing for a romantic dinner for two at Sophia's Restaurant- We would like to congratulate Phil Pringle for winning this drawing!!
The Fairview Inn & Sophia's Restaurant always looks forwards to participating in the Taste of Mississippi. Thank you to everyone who came by to see us! SOPHIA'S CULINARY TOUR
Sophia's Restaurant will be hosting a culinary tour of a different region or country, one weekend each month.
Our culinary team will prepare a five course set menu accompanied with or without wines from a particular country. We will have entertainment and decor to fit the theme of the featured country.The first country for this culinary tour will be Italy.
Italy - April 30 & May 1
Spain - May 21 & 22
France June 18 & 19

SOPHIA'S CORNER
Shortcake Muffins
4C Flour
1 2/3C Sugar
2T Baking Powder
1 1/3C Milk
2/3 C Vegetable Oil
1/2C Eggs, beaten
1/2t Sugar, sprinkled on muffins
Mix all dry ingredients together, mix all wet ingredients, then mix together, bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes.
