Galley Showing A Photography Exhibition by Dennis Lavery
.............................."LifeStop"..................................
...........................June 6th - 30th.............................

We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten.
by:Cesare Pavese

The lifestop exhibition cover image is that of the artist
becoming one with his subject. It is a photo taken through avlocked window of a vacant house that once was a home.
To secure this singular moment the photographer becomes as much a part of the image as the basket on the floor. This is a metaphor for every photographic theft of time. Its existence depends upon a delicate equation of the photographers singular ability to freeze the moment (life) within the lens (f-stop).

As Cesare Pavese observed, the photographs in this exhibition are moments forgotten, but they are
also magical memories saved in an amber image.
