WOW 10

Greetings!

Restart, Recharge, Reboot - School is back in session.  Children and youth by the tens of thousands are being bussed around the greater Wichita area between 6:30 and 9a.m. every morning until next May!  They are deposited at schools all over the area to grow in knowledge.  Everything from learning the alphabet to quantum physics will be studied in schools every day.  College kids have returned to the ivory towers to have their intellect and spirit challenged with new freedoms and new challenges.  It's enough to make a person think about where you're restarting in order to learn and grow!?

Thinking about restarting school for the year always shapes the life of the church as well.  We ramp up and roll-out new opportunities for people to connect to God and grow in grace.  The reason we do this, you ask?  It is because all of us are in need of constant restarts, times to recharge our soul and sometimes we need to reboot our whole life.  I believe the best place to do this is in the body of Christ with your brothers and sisters in Christ!  Here are some things to think about:
Restart - Do something new this fall.  Join a class at the church.  Start walking in the morning with a good friend.  Volunteer in the nursery or in a class at the church.  Restart this fall with one new thing!
Recharge - Find sabbath time.  If you can't find any time to have a real sabbath then maybe it is time to rethink and...
Reboot - ...your life a little bit.  As God's children we all need time with God.  If we don't take time to nurture that intimate relationship with our savior, then, like anyone, we will fall away and forget the importance of that core relationship.  If we fall in love with God day in and day out, then everything else will fall into place.

While you see the yellow busses scurrying about town with every family's most treasured possession aboard, slow down and remember the invitation from God to restart, recharge and reboot your life!
