Greetings!
Blown Away by Strength
I was blessed greatly by the Heritage Sunday celebration this past Sunday. Our "Igniting Leaders for a New Century" Follow-up team threw a great month-long lead in to a great family celebration this past Sunday afternoon. I want to say a sincere word of thanks not only for the Follow-Up team's hard work and planning, but also I want to say thanks to the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church's amazing faith and energy in this time.
Listening to some of our original "church builders" and their family members through the month of May was inspiring to me. If you were around Sunday, you also had the opportunity to hear from some of our newest members. It was a blessing to hear about the strengths of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church as we heard the reasons that our newest family members decided to become members of the church through a well-done video. We also heard about their dreams for the Pleasant Valley UMC as well. It was a great Sunday topped off with a spread of food fit for royalty.
Thinking about the last three and a half years since I was appointed here to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church I have had the opportunity to hear many of your stories and how you've come to be part of this great church family. In the coming weeks you might share, once again, the reasons that you have come to be part of this church. Weather you are in your Sunday school class, bible study, prayer group or gathering at the coffee shop take a moment to remember God's goodness in your life through the PV family.
Thank you Pleasant Valley! I look forward to being part of the coming years of this mission station's ministry at the corner of 27th and Amidon.
Grace and Peace to you all,
Pastor Nathan Stanton |
