Dear Pleasant Valley Friends and Family,
What a weekend ahead we have! 
 
Veterans
Tomorrow from 1-4 p.m. we will have the opportunity to view the full stories put together to honor our World War II veterans.  This is a wonderful opportunity to show our support for our greatest generation as well as learn about life during the time of war.  The event is completely free and open to people of all ages.
 
Our high school and middle school youth will be proving the leadership for worship Sunday.  They and their leaders have thoughtfully sought to provide a spiritual experience for you this Sunday.  Get ready to be inspired and challenged by what they have to present.
 
Our own Jason Unruh and Brad Remington have provided leadership in organizing and hosting a concert Sunday afternoon for Wichita East and West District youth.  Their fellowship and concert will last throughout the afternoon in Fellowship Hall.  All youth that are middle and high school ages are welcome to be part of this concert.  This is a great vision to reach youth within and outside the church for Christ.
 

Mitch McVicker

At 7p.m. Sunday evening, we will also host a special performance by Mitch McVicker in Fellowship Hall.  Mitch is an accomplished and nationally known Christian artist who brings an inspiring and worshipful concert to our very own church.  This concert is open to people of all ages and will be sure to inspire you for the rest of your week!
 
As you can see, you have plenty of opportunities to be in the fellowship of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church this weekend.  There is something for everyone, indeed.
 
May you be blessed by the One who created us all and invites us to live freely in the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

A reminder to PV members and friends that we'll be working at the Wichita Children's Home, 810 N. Holyoke, tomorrow morning from 10 - Noon. Our contact is Beth Thummel, if you arrive early. Drop by to help out if you  are looking to practice risk taking mission this weekend.
 
2009 Christmas Connection - Youthville Ornaments
Remember to drop by the board outside the sanctuary to grab an ornament to help out just one or two of the 1,400 children that Youthville cares for every day.  Youthville seeks to provide a safe environment and their basic necessities.
 
 Please take this opportunity to take an ornament; shop as an individual, family group, Sunday school class, whatever works for you--just help out a child this Christmas!   Remember to sign-up as you take your ornament to help with our Christmas Connection.
