Dear Pleasant Valley Friends and Family,

The time is now to connect more deeply with Jesus Christ.  In the coming weeks, you will have the opportunity to connect with Christ as deeply as you choose to through worship celebrations, small group sessions and opportunities to read and serve together throughout the week.

"5 Practices of Fruitful Congregations," has been designed to strengthen your personal faith.  I am excited to see how each person takes on the challenge of the next few weeks and to see the fruit of this church as we serve Christ together.

I have invited our leadership team, the Church Council members, to commit to be part of a small group these coming weeks. I have also challenged them to contact the ministry teams that they lead to be part of this study as well.  If you are on a committee you should hear from your chairperson soon to engage in this study as an individual to grow in your faith.

The church the size of ours has a great capacity to grow deeper in our faith when we choose to do so.  And when we choose to do so I believe that there are great things on the horizon for each of us.  See you Sunday.

Grace and Peace to you all,
Nathan D. Stanton

Team and Leadership Development Seminar Scheduled for October 30-31
Bill Selby

In a church the size of Pleasant Valley UMC, we need leaders who understand how we can work together as individuals and as a group.

Reverend Bill Selby will be with us the evening of October 30 and part of the day, October 31, to present a "Team and Leadership Development Seminar," at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.

Registration for the event is $30 per PVUMC member.  If you would like to bring a team you work with or a staff, then registration will be $50 per person.

Typically, this event costs businesses $3,500 to host.  For PV members and those you wish to include from your team or workplace, it is a great savings to pay $30 or $50 rather than $350 per person.

You won't want to miss this opportunity to grow stronger in your leadership wherever you provide it and even for the church.

For more information about the seminar, contact Pastor Nathan Stanton:  nathans@pvumc.com.
