Specific Plan 

In partnership with the City of Sacramento, we began the process to update The River District Specific Plan

A Redevelopment Plan amendment created separate River District and Railyards Redevelopment Areas
 
Environmental and engineering services commenced for Access Improvements from Richards/I-5 to the Railyards; construction is scheduled to begin in 2010 with completion in 2011
 
T-9 Signature Blvd 
 
Township 9 was awarded $19.1 million in state bond money from Proposition 1-C
 
The California State Lottery announced plans to build a new Headquarters on their North 10th site
 
Sacramento Regional Transit made a commitment to open phase one (MOS-1) of the Downtown/Natomas/Airport light rail line by 2010
 
The City of Sacramento issued an RFP for the Discovery Centre Hotel site
NEW NEIGHBORS
 300 Richards
 
The City of Sacramento moved into 300 Richards and The River District welcomed Development Services and Sacramento Police Department staff to the area
 
The Sacramento Police Officers Association purchased and moved into their new office building at 550 Bercut
 
California Highway Patrol signed a 287,000 square foot lease with plans to bring between 900 and 1,000 jobs to The River District; the lease at Continental Plaza was the largest commercial lease signed in 2008

The Sacramento Water Intake Facility and adjacent park was dedicated as the Robert T. Matsui Waterfront Park on October 20, 2008
 
A fundraising campaign was launched and plans were unveiled for the Powerhouse Science Center to be located on the Sacramento River in The River District

Over 40,000 pounds of trash and waste were picked up and disposed of by the Trash Abatement Service
