Whidbey and Camano Islands Tourism
A series of birding brochures have been developed highlighting the best public venues throughout both islands.
Their development compliments the new Puget Sound Loop Birding Trail produced by the Washington Audubon Society. A major Backyard Wildlife Habitat conference is on Whidbey, June 2. Bird watchers are respectful of the land and contribute to the places they visit, rather than take away from them. Also to encourage eco-tourism, Whidbey Island is promoting three public charging station venues for electric cars in Oak Harbor and Freeland, with additional planned for Coupeville.
