CORAL RESTORATION FOUNDATION FLORIDA
Florida Marine Aquarium Soceity - Ecologist & Conservationalist |

Staghorn and elkhorn corals are undersea architects, creating reef structures that support vast varieties of fish, sponges, lobsters and other marine creatures. Hit hard by disease, global warming and other stresses during the past 30 years, these corals have declined to a few isolated patches in the warm, sun-splashed waters that run from southern Palm Beach County to the islands of the Caribbean. But beginning with a chance discovery off Key Largo, where staghorn coral was found growing in an undersea farm for commercial aquarium rock, scientists have begun raising these corals in offshore nurseries with the goal of transplanting them into the wild... UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS RECONNAISSANCE
USMC AMPHIPBIOUS RECONNAISSANC COMBATANT DIVE SCHOOL |

SEMPER FIDELIS to the Instructor / Supervisor Staff USMC Combatant Diver... Recently the Naval Diving & Salvage Training Center, Panama City, FL combined all services to complete the majority of underwater training and diving. With this initiative the Naval Base renovated its facility with a new deep well dive pool at 40' fsw. This new dive pool is constructed witth level platforms for varied depths and crane system for project development programs.
On the cutting edge of technology the Naval Diving & Salvage Training Center is also undergoing revamping the elite DIVE curriculums. The USMC Combatant Diver Course has always been a breed a part, but now the Navy is seperating from the Marine Corps, in respect, to its curriculum. The Amphibious Reconnaissance Marines are in the process of developing their own Combatant Diver curriculum combining the MARSOC training goals. ..."Talk about the tough getting TOUGHER!" In comparison the Marine Corps side of the house has always been more stringent to simulate the added rigors Reconnaissance Marines endure. Now with all Marine Instructor / Supervisor Staff re-developing the program look forward to new ingenious techniques to hurt! The USMC Instructor / Supervisor Staff is made up of seasoned Marines with combat experience. Their motto is at Combatant Dive School is " Dangerous Marine Life". But you can rest assured that while developing the new course curriculum their motto is " It Smart To Be Hard, But Its Hard To Be Smart". In other words it takes a tempered Reconnaissance Marine to get through the physical aspects of training, but it takes an intelligent Reconnaissance Marine to associate the theories and laws of diving with the practice of diving SCUBA and Closed Circuit Rebreathers.

...Bring families together in new underwater environments is just one of our goals at AQUANAUTS SCUBA ACADEMY.
