Lionfish (Pterois Volitans) have been documented along the entire United States East Coast from Florida through Massachusetts, East to Bermuda and South throughout the Bahamas and in other Caribbean Islands such as Turks and Caicos and Cuba. The Florida Keys is the backdrop for the most recent DMW Diveheart Military Wounded and Diveheart Disabled Divers trip June 22-27 and June 28-02 Veterans and Civilians with disabilities had the opportunity to experience and enjoy beautiful Key Largo underwater. DMW volunteers from Illinois and Florida came together to bring Veterans with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injuries), Amputee, Blindness, Quadriplegia, Tourettes, Ceberal Palsy, and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) to the beautiful reefs beneath the waves. DIVE BUDDY (BDT):
Certified SCUBA divers can learn to assist disabled divers both in the pool and open water as Volunteers take the Buddy Diver Training.

Congratulations to the newest... career motivated divers! Such as Kyle DuBois whom has recently been assigned to United States Marine Corps Combatant Dive School in Panama City, FL as a Special Forces Dive Instructor. Begining his Dive career as a Tadpole, he graduated at the early age of 15 as an AQUANAUT from the two week grueling international SCUBA SCHOOL in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Indoctrinating him in swim strokes, lifeguard training, water survival, and advanced diving skills. He than continued into the military to become a COMBAT DIVER and then onto Master SCUBA Diver and ultimately DIVEMASTER. Although he is on active duty he contributes his time as a volunteer with youth programs and disabled divers. As a Marine Combat Diver Kyle DuBois has been trained as an Ampbhibious Reconnaissance Diver and Dive Medical Technician. Recently he has joined DiveHeart in continue the education of Buddy Divers Training to assist in the good will of handicapped divers who look forward to the new exillorating feeling of experiencing an underwater exploration.
