Our "guess the car" competition attracted plenty of entries. Thanks to everyone who entered and for the entertaining little discussions on the car and bike forums. New on our shelves is Silkolene's Pro S 5w-30 race engine oil - a fully synthetic engine oil with a high ester content - in a viscosity frequently specified by Japanese manufactuers and many vehicles in the Ford group. Extending our range of non-oil products, we now stock Fuchs Off bike cleaner (actually just as impressive when cleaning your car) and a new metal polish from Meguiars. We've also got a special deal on the superb engine oil range from Red Line and packaged them up in to better pack sizes.
Last month we told you about our new warehouse. Work is progressing
well and we'll soon be getting to the point when photographs of the
build might actually look like more than just a pile of rubble ;-)

web site. We resisted the temptation to give it a spin around the
office, fearing we might trash it and end up having to do a cut and
shut... so don't worry... it's all in one piece!
We did try to make it a little tougher this time around and whilst we did have a good number of correct answers, we think that it's possible that many of you didn't have a clue...
We were actually rather sneaky this month. Yes, complete with Blue Peter badge, the car was none other than...
...Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
We also accepted Paragon Panther as a correct answer - and yes, the forums did provide some amusement when we saw debates about the exact model and chassis that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was based on. You know who you are ;-). Impressively, some of you even gave us some extra info, such as the number plate (GEN 11) . Special Prices and new pack sizes for Red Line engine oils
 Red Line Oils - ester synthetic engine oils of amazing quality! Red Line's oils are built to be the best, using superior poly ester-based base oils rather than synthetic PAO or mineral base stocks. The
choice of many professional race teams - amazing quality and
durability.
To date, we've sold the Red Line oils in US quarts (around 0.95 of a litre) and gallon sizes (just under 3.8 litres). With most cars requiring 4.5 litres or more, that wasn't ideal.
So... we're now selling Red Line engine oils as a quart + a gallon pack at a special price - that's 4.73 litres for £44.99 with club discount (£49.99 without) - a saving of 14% on the usual individual selling price. Single quart bottles are still available.
This applies to all the Red Line oils designed for road use (the ones with the blue labels), not the Racing range (with the red labels). But in our tests, even the Red Line's "road" oils compare favourably with other high end and performance oils!

Tech Article - How to change your engine oil
Many of our readers are fully au-fait with the process of changing their engine oil. But if you're not... fear not! We've put together a guide that takes you step by step
through the process of changing your oil.

oil and filter, changing your oil isn't difficult and will probably take you around 30 minutes.

Don't forget that we sell money-saving oil and filter service packs for cars and for motorcycles...
If you don't fancy changing your oil yourself, why not get your garage to do it, but supply your own oil?
You'll
save yourself money and can choose to use a better oil than might be
supplied as standard. Even if you go to a main dealer and your car is
under warranty, you can still request that the garage uses the oil you
supply. It will not affect your warranty so long as the oil meets the
approved viscosity / specification for your vehicle.
