Dear Good Shepherd Lutheran School Community,

It is with sadness that I share with you today that Mrs. Bianchini will be retiring at the end of this school year.  Mrs. B, as her students call her, has been a teacher at Good Shepherd for over 28 years and she will certainly be missed here.

Mrs. B has left her footprint on the children, parents and community and we are a better place because of it.  She has reached out and touched so many students' lives through their experiences in her classroom!!

We thank her for the years of faithful service, dedication and commitment she has given to educate the children of Good Shepherd.

We wish her the very best!

KISSES FOR KAYLA

This year for Valentine's Day the GSLS Student Council will be selling Valentine's Greetings. All proceeds will be donated to the Dehnert family for Kayla Rose.

Here's how it works: Use the preorder form from the February 2nd Friday Folder to order a card affixed with a Hershey's kiss to be delivered to the child's class on Valentine's Day (or Monday if the child is in Monday preschool). Or, stop by the sale table in the morning before school from February 6th to 10th 8:15 - 8:30.  Look for the lavender flyer in your child's Friday Folder for more information. Buy a Valentine for your sweetie!

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS DUE
A friendly reminder:   The Good Shepherd Lutheran School Board Financial Assistance Committee would appreciate it if families are requesting financial assistance that they submit applications by Feb 10th or earlier. The application can be found on the school website (the form was recently updated).  Although we do accept applications  throughout the year, based on urgent circumstances and as the family's needs change, we highly recommend applications be submitted before the registration deadline of Feb 17th."
