 Korean Exchange Students
|
Good Shepherd Lutheran School is blessed to have nine Korean exchange students visit GSLS in January. We are looking for nine families to host a student (Grades 3rd through 8th) in their homes for this 3 week program beginning January 9 and ending January 30. Please consider hosting a student and experience the wonderful memories, cultural exchanges and lifetime friendships. Important Hot Lunch Information | |
New Fee
**The introductory discounted fee for Good Earth Natural lunch has expired. The new fee is $5.25. This fee will apply to the upcoming Winter Session and Spring Session.
Containers
**Starting with the new hot lunch session, Dec 5th, Good Earth Natural will no longer provide serving plates and utensils. All K-5 and Middle School students participating in the Good Earth lunch program need to bring a covered serving container and utensils for their food. Divided containers are suggested. Label the container with your child's name. Plastic utensils may be used and thrown away in our playground recycle container. We will continue to provide plates and utensils for Preschool students.

Pledge Fund Forms Due Friday, Nov 18th | |
We're off to a great start with our Pledge Fund campaign!
Thank you to the families who have completed their Pledge Form - your GSLS vehicle stickers are on the way to you - Drive with GSLS pride!
If you have not yet turned in your form, we have a few options to do so before the Friday, November 18th deadline:
- Parking Lot Drop off - we'll have refreshments, extra Pledge Forms and Vehicle stickers to hand out.
- Monday & Tuesday 8:15 to 9:00 at the elementary school
- Wednesday during pick-up at the middle school
- Use the drop box in front of the school office or in Mrs. O'Leary's classroom
REMEMBER, we only need your completed form, not your payment, by the November 18th deadline! If you have not yet received your Pledge Fund letter and form in the mail, please click here.
The Pledge Fund raises much needed monies to support the operation of our school, and is a tax deductible alternative to higher tuition.

Our November 16th Parents Association Meeting is moving..... again! Why? We thought we'd try something new - an evening meeting allowing even more parents, our teachers, staff and School Board to attend.
At this meeting, in addition to our usual agenda, we'll: - envision "outrageous success" in our mission to provide an enriched environment with acadmic excellence
- develop a list of initiatives to make this vision a reality in partnership with our wonderful teachers, administration, School Board and staff
Together, we'll build a game plan to accomplish even more great things for this school year and beyond in support of GSLS, our classrooms, and our kids! Please join us - let's make it an amazing night for our school!

Don't forget to reserve your copy of the 2011/2012 yearbook - the personal family pages are almost gone... if someone is interested... please reserve as soon as possible. Attached here is the form you will need to reserve a book or request a personal page... No need for payment now... A collection box is outside the office at the Elementary School and one is at Middle School. It's looking amazing thus far... wow!
