Picture Days Monday and Tuesday, 10/17 & 18

Picture Day:  Students may bring a special shirt or outfit to wear for their picture.  However, students are to change back into their school uniform as it is NOT a Free Dress day.

 

                                                                     

ATTENTION - PLEASE HOLD ON THESE CALENDAR CHANGES until School Board approval:

1. Art and Music Event: May 31 at 6:30pm...Art can be viewed all day.

 

2. Elementary Closing Chapel and 5th grade promotion has been changed to a day chapel on June 13 at 10:30am.

Wanted...School Crossing Guard

Do you like to wear brightly colored safety vests? We are looking for someone to help us just one hour a day as a school crossing guard (8:15 am - 9:15 am M-F). It is a paid position and we will pay you a handsome salary of $10 per hour. If you know of anyone, please twist their arm and have them come see me, Susan Hall at 897-2510 or susan.hall@goodshepherdlutheran.org . It really is all about SAFETY!

Harvest Spectacular - Raffle Winners

Talent Show Auditions 

Additional Audition Dates 

Wednesday, October 19 at lunchtime (Main campus, youth room)

Friday, October 21 at lunchtime (Middle school campus)

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ALL KINDS OF ENTERTAINMENT!

Single acts, group acts, or perform an act with one of your favorite, talented adults!

 

Be creative - perform a song, dance or skit; play an instrument; do a tumbling routine, magic act or karate exhibition; recite poetry or do a comedy act ... use your imagination!

 

All acts must meet the following criteria:

* Acts must be two minutes or less

* Each performer may appear in one act only

* NO lip synching

* Music must be prepared to be played on a CD and must not exceed the two-minute time limit

* Songs will be screened for appropriateness for a school performance

* No duplication of music; the first group to be accepted at audition time will have the right to their choice of music

* Musicians may play only one piece of music

 

Please have your routines polished, well-rehearsed and ready to perform BEFORE you come to audition!

Third -Fifth Homework Club

This is a good time for your child to do their homework and get extra help if needed.  Homework club is Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:05 to 4:05.  The cost is $8 and is drop in.  If you have any questions please see Jeanne Hjort or Kim Scheidt.

K-5th EARLY ARRIVING CHILDREN 

 

While on GSLS campus, children must always be in the care of an adult.  Classrooms and teachers are not available to receive children until 8:20am.  Children who arrive to school without an adult before 8:20am need to be signed into our Extended Care program.

Volunteer Needed - Escrip Coordinator

We need someone who is detail oriented, has good computer skills and good communication skills to take over the position of Escrip Coordinator.

 

This person will be responsible for new family data entry to the escrip website, yearly Safeway renewal for all families, and occasional newsletter entries reminding families of scrip events (like the yearly 10% back to school promotion). Someone who has new ideas on how to grow our escrip family database would be ideal.  

 

This position can be done completely from home; busiest times are the end of July and October.  This job can be done completely from home; this will fill your yearly volunteer requirement.
