Statements Have Been Sent Home | |
Please look for your "Tuition Statement" in your child's backpack or Friday folder this weekend. Payments are due Oct. 1st and late after Oct. 5th. If you are signed up for automatic payment, it will be processed on or near the 1st of the month...forms can be found on the website if you want to sign up. |
| School Board Open Forum | |
The Good Shepherd Lutheran School Board is offering an open forum to all parents, staff and community on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:15 pm. All who would like to speak must be there by that time. Participants must sign up with the school office by Monday at 4:00 p.m. before the day of the school board meeting. Participants will be given between 3 and 5 minutes to share their thoughts. The time allotted for each person will depend on the number of attendees. Board members may only ask clarifying questions of the participants.

New Gift Wrap Sales | |
We have a new company this year, Great American Opportunities.
We're excited to be using this company because they have many wonderful gifts and gift wrap items. Our school earns 45% profit from each sale, which is a great way to make money for the school.
Our fundraiser will have a few new components this year:
Look for a booklet to come home Wednesday, 9/14. Please
complete the requested information and return it by 9/16. It will support on line shopping for your friends and family
There will be a kick off assembly on 9/16 at which time any student who returned a filled out booklet, will be entered into a drawing to win a pillow pet.
Your student will also earn their first little rubber duck, which will be worn on a lanyard. There are several different styles, so each one is very exciting to win!
Throughout the sale your student will have chances to earn another duck, for a maximum of 5 ducks.
Also on 9/16 the actual catalogue will come home in your child's Friday folder

Safeway Giving 10% to our School
Chance to win a $50 Safeway Gift Card!! | |
Every fall Safeway runs a special program to give money back to schools. If your club card is registered for GSLS (this is part of the yearly enrollment process), then you are eligible to earn $$$ for our school. You will know if your club card is registered by looking at the bottom of your receipt "qualifying purchases have been credited to escrip".
Here is how it works. Shop anytime between now and 9/13. Look for items that have a shelf tag with the logo "10% goes back to schools". Stock up on those items!! Then we get 10% of the amount that you spend on those special items. The usual earnings are about 1% - so this is a huge opportunity.
Just so you know, we earn almost $1000 a month from the escrip/Safeway program. During the time that Safeway offers the 10% back to school, the amount jumps up to $1700. So, every dollar adds up ~ YOU can make a difference!
So sorry I didn't get this notice out earlier, next year I will be more organized! You still have time ~ program ends 9/13. Please set aside some extra shopping time, cruise the aisles, and stock up.
The school or church member with the biggest dollar contribution for the month of September will win a $50 Safeway Gift Card. Happy Shopping!

The price of each lunch is $4.95. Sign ups and payments are made directly through Good Earth. Good Shepherd does not take or send any payments. The food looks and tastes amazing, home cooked, fresh and healthy.
*When signing up multiple children, please put only ONE CHILD per order form. When you are fully finished with order and you have a confirmation, you may sign up additional children the same way.
