This is a great way to get volunteer hours.  ADULTS ONLY.

School Children Sing In Church

Good Shepherd Lutheran School Students who are able to join Mrs. Simon at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 6th at 11:00am will be singing as part of the worship services.  Many of you belong to other churches, and we do not want to interfere with your involvement in your own church, but we also know that each time the children sing here the congregation is blessed.  We also believe that the children are blessed though singing and that you will be blessed through this worship opportunity

"Jump Rope For Heart" ENDS MARCH 11

In the Friday Folder of Feb. 18th your child brought home an information packet about our annual "Jump Rope for Heart" program for Grades 1-5.  Over the last three years the children have raised in excess of $10,000 for the American Heart Association and it's services to fight heart disease--America's #1 cause of death.

In the packet was information as to how you can sign up your child ("on line"), find Sponsors to contribute to your child's rope jumping activities during the week of March 7th, and also receive "Thank You Gifts" (including Warriors basketball tickets) for their participation.

During the week of March 7th the children will have rope jumping contests and activities during their PE classes.  The final day of "Jump Rope for Heart" is Friday, March 11.

If you would like your child to participate in this worthy effort please register them on-line---if you have misplaced the information packet more are available.  Thank you for your support.

Visit www.heart.org/jump and click on 'Students Sign Up' to get started today.

SCHOOL SAFETY

The GSLS parking lot and driveways are congested areas that are shared by both vehicles and pedestrians. To make the campus as safe as possible, please drive slowly and with caution. Always yield to foot traffic.

For the safety of the children, please drive slowly and cautiously in the school parking lot and never leave a running car unattended. Parents are welcome to use our drive thru service, however, please do not park your car in the middle of the line to come into the building, or get out of your car to talk with other parents. If you need to come into the building or wish to walk your child into school, you will need to park in the parking area and walk up. We need to keep the line moving.
