***Reminder***
Out of respect for our neighbor on the corner of Lynwood and Midway, please do not park in front of their home during drop-off in the morning or pick-up in the afternoon. This includes both K-5 and preschool.   Please park in the designated spaces in the school parking lot.  We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Student pick-up from Playground

The parents are to come to the GSLS Office to sign their child out, and the office contacts the playground staff to bring the child to the office or the office staff goes to the playground to bring the child up to the office. The parents (or authorized person) do NOT take the child from the playground.

Lunch with a student on the playground

Any parent or authorized person who joins a student for lunch on the playground must sign-in at the GSLS office before coming to the playground.  The office will notify the playground staff that the person is arriving and for which student.

VOLUNTEERS
Before you begin a  volunteer shift during the school day, you must always log in your hours on the volunteer sheet in your child's classroom and wear the name tag provided.  When you end your volunteer shift, make sure that you sign-out in the folder as well.  The classroom teacher or aide will then verify your hours with his/her signature.
Tardy Policy:

As a friendly reminder (and per our school policy), classes begin at 8:30 am.  Therefore students should be at school at 8:20 am.  All tardy students must report to the office to be signed in and get a tardy slip before being admitted to class.  More information is available on page 7 of our Parent Handbook regarding our tardy policy.
