Middle School Town Hall Meeting

Permit Process & Progress
GSLC Sanctuary
Tuesday, April 20th
6:00pm-7:00pm

Please plan to attend the Tuesday, April 20th meeting at Good Shepherd Main Campus to learn about the expansion of the middle school including how your attendance at the May Novato Planning Commission meeting will help us secure the Amended Use Permit needed to allow us to operate all 3 grades (6,7 and 8) at the Presbyterian Church Campus.  As you may know, the Middle School Development group has been working with the City of Novato on the permit expansion. As part of the process, it is important for members of the Planning Commission to understand the tremendous support of our community and the greater Novato community regarding Good Shepherd Middle School.

Please plan to attend this short town hall meeting to learn how to show your support for
Good Shepherd Lutheran Middle School.

Where: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Sanctuary
 When: Tuesday, April 20th
Time: 6-7pm
RSVP:  office.gsls@verizon.net or 897.2510
Volunteer Hours at GSLS
One kid, three kids; 2, 3 or 5 Days.....why are all volunteer hours created equal?

Many people have asked this question over the years.  The why is simple.

Different rules for different people leads to uncertainty, miscommunication and confusion.  Your time at Good Shepherd is not driven by how many hours your child spends here but rather the commitment to the sense of community which is central to what we foster here.

Volunteering builds bonds, ensures that one does not bear the burden of many, and teaches ourselves and our children the importance of giving back.  The staff, school board and families of Good Shepherd thank you for giving of yourselves to ensure that your children receive an enriched and academic education that will carry on for generations to come.

Comments/Questions?  We would love to hear from you!  E-mail us at GSLSBoard@yahoo.com

We have many opportunities for parent volunteers to contribute to the success of our school.

A BIG thank you to those of you who have stepped forward to help so far this year! There are still volunteer opportunities available for the current school year:

  Carpool to School!

In an effort to remain good neighbors, we applaud you for your continued support in car- pooling students to both the Middle School and Elementary School campuses.

In order to be good neighbors in our community and in an effort to cut down on the amount of traffic into our two campuses, we continue to encourage our school families to set up carpools.

Driving your children to school can seem like an endless chore, particularly if you have more than one child and they attend different GSLS campuses. To save time, gas and stress try setting up a carpool system with a few school families who live in or close to your neighborhood.
