Do you write letters?

Letter Writing Campaign

Whenever I think of getting a handwritten letter I think of the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that someone cares enough about me to actually sit down and take the time to think of what they would like to say to me and do so. We are starting a letter writing campaign to our youth to show our teenagers that they are cared about and that this is a place where they are loved. We are looking for a few good letter writers to be a part of this.

Pre-addressed and stamped envelopes are available on the YOUTH bulletin board in the undercroft. Take one, or two, or as many as you would like, choose a teen you would like to write a note to; there are about 35 names. We would like to have 35 congregation members to be a part of this project also! If you can write a letter, let Miguel know and grab an envelope!

Youth Group  - Wednesdays each week

If you are a teen in grades 7 - 12,

this is the place for YOU!

No judgment, just conversation.

Wednesdays Youth Night - Weekly

St Luke's Youth Group is a safe place for you to explore your faith, make friends, and be yourself. Youth Group meets Wednesday nights from 7 - 9 pm*.

Adult volunteers are welcome to share in our Youth Nights. Want to know more? Talk to Miguel Covarrubias our director of Youth Ministry.

Fundraiser Soup and Chili Cook-Off - February 12th

Movie & Conversations:  The Help

The popular 2011 movie, The Help,  will be used as the basis for an exploration of diversity and how one might hold on to their sense of self while being open to others who are different from themselves.  What does the movie The Help tell about us about recognizing God's grace to create a more inclusive world?

Join other members of our Diocese in the upper meeting hall of the Diocesan Center located at 1064 Brighton Road, Tonawanda, for the movie, snacks, conversation and an opportunity to learn from each other and our diverse perspectives.

Session 1: Wednesday, February 8 from 6 - 9:30 pm

Session 2: Wednesday, February 15 from 6 - 9:30

Admission is free, but because seating is limited, pre-registration is required.  Contact St Luke's church, 483-6405 or  call Kathy Williams at the Diocesan office, 716-881-0660.
