Becoming a New Creation:

Discovering/Rediscovering the

Presence of God in your life.

This year we are embarking on a series of spiritual retreats. I hope and expect that every adult member of the church will be able to attend at least one of these retreats. They will be fun, informative, and enriching. Most important, they will be time set aside from our busy lives just to focus on renewing our relationship with God in Christ.

It is not yet too late to register to attend the parish retreat at Mt. St. Benedict Monastery in Erie, PA to be held Friday-Saturday, Sept 16-17.

This retreat will be entitled "The Monastery of the Heart: An Invitation to a Meaningful Life." The total cost of this retreat will be $50, which includes room plus three meals. A deposit of $20 should be included in your registration!

The retreat will last from 4 pm Friday until 4 pm Saturday, a full Sabbath day for spiritual refreshment.

We always come up with good excuses to not say yes to these opportunities. But they are essential to our spiritual well-being and the renewal of our energy, focus and especially faith. So, this time why not say yes!

Sign up for a wonderful spiritual journey.

JOURNEYS  WEEKEND # 2 for Grades 6-8

This Fall St. Luke's will host the second diocesan Journeys weekend, a retreat experience for youth in grades 6-8. The weekend will be held September 23-25 in the undercroft and the kids will join us for church that Sunday at 10 am. We are putting together the team right now.   We need: middle school kids to sign up, high school kids to help lead and adult members of St. Luke's to help with meals-Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday.
