Steel Erection for Gallery Buildings August 2009 Monday August 10, 2009 marked another milestone for the American Indian Cultural Center & Museum and the state of Oklahoma as we move closer to completing a world class museum that will attract visitors from around the world, nation, region and state. During the next several months 1,636 tons or 32,760 pounds of steel will be erected to support the museum gallery buildings. more

American Indian Alaskan Native (AIANTA) Tourism Conference September 2009
Last week I traveled to Santa Fe, New Mexico for the 11th Annual Tourism Conference sponsored by the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA). I landed in the quaint Santa Fe Airport fashioned in typical New Mexico adobe style and was immediately greeted by two people hand-pushing the stairs to the plane. LOL! more

The OITa met at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History for its quarterly meeting to develop the mission statement and goals for the upcoming year.
