We must Face FEAR head on in order to walk in victory over it!  FEAR will keep you out of God's will for your life, whether it be fear of people, fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of being alone, fear of losing someone you love and the list can go on and on.  Excuses are really FEAR in the form of an excuse, "I can't do that without them," "If I call that person they are just going to tell me...."  These are just a couple of examples of fear in operation under the disguise of an excuse.  FEAR will paralyze you and hold you captive UNTIL YOU DECIDE to Face FEAR head on and deal with it!  When you decide to Face FEAR you are operating in FAITH and your victory is assured.

 

Do you realize that many people settle in life because they are too afraid to get out of the boat?  Let's look at people with addictions, many of them never choose to face what they fear, to face their pain and they are continually caught in a cycle of addiction.  When an addict finally makes the decision to face their fear; progress will follow.  In order to be free you must face that which has caused you the FEAR.  You have to make a decision to deal with that which you are afraid of, YOU MUST DO IT!  God is not going to cross your will, He has given you the power to overcome the spirit of FEAR.  Does that mean in the midst of us facing our fear that we will not have setbacks?  No, what it means is what the world calls a setback is really a setup for what God has for us because we are willing and obedient to face FEAR and because of our willingness and obedience we will eat the fruit of HIS land. 

 

God did not give us a spirit of fear but of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND.  When fear is in operation, your mind is no where near sound, thoughts flood your mind and bring you further into captivity, but God has given you His power, His love and as a result you will have a sound mind! 

 

Grasp the fear by its horns and look into its eyes and DEAL WITH IT!  If you need someone to help, then go get counsel from someone who can HELP you not jump on your fear, excuse bandwagon but someone who has experienced victory (this does not mean that they have arrived, rather someone who is honest about their issues).  Some of you may need to see a counselor because your issues are so deep you do not trust anyone, whatever your circumstance seek God for His direction because rest assured when He tells you who to talk to and who to see YOUR answer lies within.
