Writing Workshop with Joy
On February 4th, Joy Cowley held a special "invite only" Writing Workshop for authors of the new Kaleidoscope Collection and other special guests in Columbus, OH. Attendees were treated to a 3-hour interactive experience, where Joy tutored them on the best way to channel their "inner child" and write effectively for children. By drawing on their own personal experiences, the authors were able to craft stories of their own, for possible inclusion in the next phase of the Joy Cowley-edited Kaleidoscope Collection. Afterward, all were treated to a Wine & Cheese Reception, where Joy presented each author with a poster-sized version of their book cover. If you are interested in submitting manuscripts for the next phase of Kaleidoscope, please check our website for an announcement. Joy Cowley Visits Hameray!
Award-winning author Joy Cowley visited the United States this month from her native New Zealand, and we were delighted to host her. She served as the Keynote Speaker at the National Reading Recovery Conference in Columbus, OH, in addition to signing autographs and greeting fans at the Hameray booth.
