The name September comes from the old Roman word 'Septem' which means seven, because in the Roman calendar it was the seventh month.
 
Labor Day is an American holiday usually held on the first Monday in September, and is dedicated to the American workers who put in long hours preserving a way of life by selflessly endeavoring efforts. Labor Day BBQ's are common throughout the US.
 
September is both National Apple month, as well as National Honey month..
 
This is a perfect time to gather family and friends and celebrate the right to rest barbequing with Gayle's Honey Sweet BBQ and Apple Cider Smoke BBQ Sauces.

Easy BBQ Fajitas
www.gaylesbbq.com1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1   each green and red pepper, cut into strips
1 onion, cut into thin wedges
1/2 cup  Gayle's Sweet 'N' Sassy Original Barbecue Sauce
8 Flour Tortillas, warmed
1 cup  Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese
1/2 cup Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
1/4 cup  Sour Cream
 
DIRECTIONS
HEAT grill to medium-high heat.
COMBINE chicken, vegetables and barbecue sauce. Let stand 5 min. Poke holes evenly in bottom of 13x9-inch disposable foil roasting pan with fork or skewer. Place chicken mixture in pan; place pan on grate of grill. Cover grill with lid.
GRILL chicken and vegetables 20 min. or until chicken is done and vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
SPOON onto tortillas; top with remaining ingredients. Roll up.
 
Gayle's Kitchens Tips
Shortcut: Substitute a stir-fry basket for the foil pan. Reduce grilling time to 7 to 10 min.
Easy Cleanup: Place chicken and vegetables in resealable plastic bag. Pour sauce into bag; seal bag. Use your fingers to massage the bag to evenly distribute the sauce.
Substitute:Prepare using 2% Milk Finely Shredded Four Cheese.
 
WANNA GO MEATLESS?
1t veg oil
1/2 cup  Gayle's Chipotle BBQ Sauce
2lg portabella mush. (trim & discard woody stems, remove gills by scraping with spoon)
1lg red/green/yellow pepper
1med onion
1 1/2 t ground cumin
salt & pepper
1 avacado
1/2t lemon juice
2cloves garlic (minced)
3T lime juice
8 wheat tortillas
1 cup  Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese
1/2 cup Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
1/4 cup  Sour Cream 
 
 
HEAT oil in pan, add peppers, onions, mushrooms. Sprinkle with cumin, salt, pepper... add Gayle's Chipotle BBQ Sauce and cook while stirring constant for 7-10 minutes or until desired tenderness.
Ready avacado. (peel/pit/cube/mash) add lemon & set aside.
Remove vegtables from heat. Add garlic & lime juice and set aside. Spread tortilla with avacado, spoon on vegtable mix. Sprinkle with options & sides.
