QA Dashboards - "What's behind the curtain?" |

With gasoline prices at an all time high, you want your daily commute and errands to be as cost effective as possible. If we didn't have dashboards in our cars we wouldn't know if we have enough fuel to complete our trip, how fast we're going, or when to get our oil changed!!! Carrying this analogy over to the software development world, do you find yourself wondering...
- How many resources do I need to complete testing?
- What is the effort hours required to complete a testing phase?
- How long is it going to take to test a particular feature?
Having a dashboard is only 20% of the solution to knowing the answers to these questions. The other 80% of the solution is related to the data behind the dashboard. Capturing the right data, analyzing it properly, and presenting it on the dashboard correctly is critical to your data being current, accurate, and useful. The following illustrates this projects status trending over the lifetime of the program. NOTE: "Project Z" has been consistently behind schedule since May!!

Making a Difference
On April 12-13, 2008, CTE's President and Founder, Noel Kierans, participated in the BP MS 150 charity bike ride from Houston to Austin, Texas. Mr. Kierans was a member of "Team Believe", who joined thousands of cyclists in completing the grueling 162 mile ride. Total time in the saddle, over two days, was 9 hours 42 minutes, with an average speed of 16 mph. Mr. Kierans raised approximately $2,000 for Multiple Sclerosis. CTE contributed 25% of the moneys raised.
At CTE we believe it is important for our employee's health and wellbeing that they keep a balance between their professional careers and home life. CTE's Wellness Program contributes to our employee's health club memberships or equivalent clubs annually. |
