earthAt the 2007 International Conference in Knoxville, Tennesee, a Communications Committee was established by Karl Wiedl, President.  All interested IACEP members attending the general membership meeting were invited to join.  Read about the Communication Committee organizational activities ComCom Activities.
2008 APERA Conference/IACEP Symposium

APERA will host the 2nd Asia-Pacific Educational Research conference jointly organised by NIE, the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association (APERA) and the Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS) in Singapore on November 26-28, 2008.  The conference theme is Educational Research for Innovation & Quality in Education: Policy & Pedagogical Engagements Across Contexts.  A collaborative IACEP Symposium is in the initial stages of development with Alice Seok-Hoon Seng acting as laison to the APERA Conference Committee. 2009 IACEP International Conference

The IACEP 2009 International Conference will be held in July, 2009 in Osnabrück, Germany (beginning on the weekend of July 12 and 13). If you are interested in serving on the 2009 Conference Committee, please contact Karl Wiedl at wiedl@uni-osnabrueck.de.  A call for papers will be sent to membership in the spring of 2008.  Start planning your trip to Osnabrück Germany! 2008 North America Eastern Region Conference

A theme-based regional conference is being planned in New York state, possibly during the week of October 27-31, 2008. The conference will be primarily focused on cognitive educational intervention and assessment for adults with special needs, including traumatic brain injuries, developmental disabilities, and psychiatric disorders, and possibly other conditions. The venue will be at a multi-purpose agency, Hudson Valley Community Programs and Services, also known as HVCP, with a new headquarters building in Brewster New York, a bit more than an hour north of New York City.  For more information please contact Martin Miller, Vice President for North America, Eastern Region at marbmiller@aol.com.
