News from Dr. Lauren
A very Happy Holidays to you all. 2010 has been a wonderful year for Path to Wellness Chiropractic. We have had such a great time getting to know so many new patients; we have had such a good time assisting our on-going patients; we have had such a good time getting out in the community and introducing Fort Worth to Better Health Through Chiropractic Care and, of course, Path to Wellness Chiropractic. And thanks to each of you and our continued growth, I am pleased to announce that beginning in 2011, Darcy Worman, who many of you have already met, we be coming on board as an Associate Doctor. With this addition to our staff there are a few things I want to tell you about.
As you read the following, I ask each of you to give a few minutes of thought in the area of, "how can I help those around me?" With these 7 words, I believe, through the introduction of Chiropractic into anyone, we can create a world filled with health and wellness.
Refer a Friend -
Below are 2 gift certificates. I ask that you use these as a way of introducing two friends to Path to Wellness Chiropractic and to a 2011 "new beginning" in their lives. Better yet, how about inviting two friends to join you during your next appointment at the clinic. There is no better gift you can offer anyone than the gift of Better Health. And there is even a little something in it for you. For every 3 people you refer in with these certificates, you get a free adjustment!
At Your Place of Work -
With the addition of Darcy, full-time to my staff, one our of major goals for 2011, is getting in front of as many people as possible and telling the "full story" of Chiropractic. How Chiropractic can not only assist with spinal issues, but issues of stress and nutrition; issues of proper steps to better health and sports injuries; issues of work place and whiplash... and so so many more.
This is your chance to help all those that you work with. Please talk to us about your work place. Introduce Darcy to your Human Resource Coordinator or whomever else you think might be an asset towards giving us the opportunity to visit your workplace and introduce the different aspects of Chiropractic to you fellow employees. We can come in and do a lunch and learn class on many different topics from proper ergonomics to our amazing purification program.
With Your Hobbies -
We have, in the past two years worked diligently with the Fort Worth Runners Community. We would like the chance to meet other kinds of hobbyists' that might, just like runners, become more healthy through the use of Chiropractic. So just like above, please give Darcy and Path to Wellness Chiropractic the chance to meet with your groups. From proper exercising to proper nutrition; from better health maintenance to proper posture, Path to Wellness will create a program that will fit the needs of your friends and fellow hobbyists.
Finally, Your Family -
Don't forget that your children can benefit from chiropratic care, too! Studies on children who receive chiropractic care show three things... 1. Putting your child on a Chiropractic maintenance program will improve their attendance record at school. 2. Putting you child on a Chiropractic maintenance program greatly reduces the chances of spinal issues as they get older. 3. Getting a child that has scoliosis into a Chiropractor at the youngest possible each greatly increases the chances of a better recovery.
So please, give your child the most special of holiday gifts... the gift of Chiropractic care. Make their first appointment and see how you all feel about it.
A couple of other reminders that you will read about below.
We had so many of you contact us during our Second Annual Post Thanksgiving Purification Program. How you would love to do the program but between Thanksgiving and Christmas was "just too much to handle." So, we have decided to run a New Years Program. For information, read below, or call the office and request the package. This 21-day Detox program will change your life. It will not be easy, but nothing great ever is. I hope each of you will decide to take this incredible step towards Better Health.
For many of you, January 1st begins a whole new year of deductibles. With that in mind, I want to remind you to make you last appointments prior to the end of the year. This will save you plenty of out-of-pocket expense and make you feel better prior to New Years 2011.
May each you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Yours in better health, Dr. Lauren

- Low libido
The detox is great to do with friends,family,and/or co-workers! So get a group together and start 2011 off right! | Wishing You Health & Happiness This Holiday Season
Dear Patients and Friends,
As the holiday draws near what greater gift can we offer our patients than the opportunity to share health with friends and family? To a person in pain or who suffers from a health problem, there is nothing they want more than to be free from their ailment. We are, therefore devoting our time this holiday season in special service to your family and friends.
At the bottom of this email you will find gift certificates which cover the entire cost of initial consultation, examination, x-rays (if necessary) and report of findings for new patients at our office. We are sure that there are at least two people you know who would greatly appreciate the opportunity to make this step toward better health. In fact, it could be the most important gift anyone gives them this year. To use these certificates, simply print your name on the back of each and share them with whomever. Believe me, they will be delighted that you thought of them at this special time of the year and grateful for your offering of this wonderful opportunity .
Wishing you a Healthy and Happy Holiday,
Dr. Roberson

Chiropractic Christmas Poem Author Unknown
T'was the day before Christmas, but there was no cheer. No jingle bells jingled, no sound of reindeer. The word had got out that Santa was sick. There'd be no friendly visit from jolly St. Nick.
The people were sad; no gaiety sounded. For Christmas had come, but Santa was grounded. He walked down the street, and what should he see? On a small sign was printed, Path to Wellness Chiropractic.
Now, Santa was not one to like a new tactic, But all else had failed, so he'd try Chiropractic. He entered the office and saw at a glance In a place such as this illness hasn't a chance.
For all were smiling; the music was snappy, With all the patients contented and happy. In a very short time, to judge by the clock,
He was in the adjusting room, talking to Doc.
"It must be the hurry, the tension and all. I simply can't seem to get on the ball. Life used to be easy, just toys, guns and whistles. Now I have to dodge fall-out, space ships and missiles."
"And Doc, take a look at the size of this pack! Have you any idea what it does to my back?" Poor Santa was miserable; just barely able With the help of the doctor, to get to the table.
The doctor was gentle. Without fuss or tussle She examined the vertebrae and relaxed the muscles. She spotted the trouble, and then with a click, Started aligning the ailing St. Nick.
And Santa felt aches and pains slipping away. In no time at all he began to feel gay. The air was a tingle with a new fallen snow. And a healthy Kris Kringle was rarin' to go.
As he went out the door, he threw all a kiss. Why, it has been centuries since he'd felt as good as this! Then once more he shouldered the bag full of toys. His heart overflowing with true Christmas joys.
Happy Holidays from

Condition of the Month
Stress & Your Health Traffic Jams. Paying Bills. Christmas Shopping. School Activities. Work Deadlines. Family in town. These challenging situations create stress in our lives. So why is it some people deal with these stress situations better than others? The answer is complex and includes many factors from genetics to weather conditions, but an interesting study in The Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics indicates that there is a relationship between chiropractic and the effect it can have on dealing with stress situations in you life. This study revealed that nearly one in three patients viewed their lives as moderately to severely stressful, and more than 50% felt that stress had a moderate to severe impact on their health problems. Additionally , 71% of the patients indicated that it would be helpful if their chiropractor offered advice to help them cope with these stressful situations. Communication with your chiropractic about dealing with stress is the starting point, and you might be surprised to find that your chiropractor is full of sound advice on ways to effectively deal with stress in your life. Most people know that improving nerve and spinal function has a dramatic impact on improving emotional, mental, and physical function. Getting the most out of your chiropractic care may include talking to your chiropractor about effective strategies to deal with the stress in your life. Chiropractic involves touch; this factor alone sets the stage for release of muscular tension. Your chiropractor administers one or a series of adjustments to the spine and surrounding musculature. The adjustments may help the fatigue or stress by removing nerve irritation, releasing muscular tension and improving blood circulation. The most common symptoms naturally include headache, backache, and fatigue as well as cardiovascular disorders (high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis etc) digestive problems (ulcers, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.) and sleeping difficulties.

Letter of the month.
We want to hear from you...please!!!
Each newsletter we will publish one of the many notes or letters we get from our patients. Have something to say, please send us your thoughts about Path To Wellness. You might just see yourself in print.
When I came to Dr. Roberson's office, I was suffering from severe sciatic pain. Sitting, sleeping and driving seemed impossible due to the pain in my lower back. I was constantly taking pain and anti-inflammatory medications seeking some kind of relief. The medications seem only to temporarily ease the pain. After adjustments and decompression treatments my symptoms began to dramatically reduce. I am now pain free and grateful to have my mobility back. I would like to thank Dr. Roberson and her excellent staff for being so friendly and wonderful during my treatment! -Denise Garcia
