lauren sized I want to take a second and welcome you to our first newsletter.  Over the next few months we will work to give you the best possible information for leading a healthy and "adjusted" lifestyle.

We want your input.  What kind of articles are you interested in?  What can we do to make this the most informative newsletter possible?

Finally, we ask that each of you forward this newsletter to ten friends.  Friends that might be in need of Chiropractic help.

My first year has flown by... it seems like yesterday that we opened our doors.  And, thanks to each of you, what a great year it has been.

As we enter year two, Patrice is enjoying being mom.  Killian Joshua was born Saturday, July 18, he came in at 6lb 7oz and 20" long. You can check out the picture below.  Mom and baby are doing great.  Pam Puckett is doing an admirable job replacing Patrice.  I hope you like her smile and her persistence in making sure you get in for your appointments.

Over the past couple of months, we've been fortunate to become involved with a couple of new companies and organizations.  You can read about these in this newsletter.  If you have any suggestions on organizations or companies that might like a 3 to 6 hour screening seminar, please let us know.

It's hard to believe, but true, that only 8% of the American population has ever seen a Chiropractor.  Most because they do not think about it and some because they have only heard about bad experiences.  Over the last 10 years, things have changed so dramatically in my field and I know you are aware of just how seriously I take my care for each of you.

Anyway, look forward to hearing from each of you.  Have a great rest of July.  pathtowellnesschiro@gmail.com

Yours in better health,

Who would have thought.  All my life I have
been the worst and most nervous public
speaker on the planet.  At Parker College,
I purposely finished 2nd in my class (really)
so I would not have to give the graduation
speech.  Little did I know both one and two were asked to talk.  To this day I can't remember what I said.  But enough about that.

Every Sunday morning from 8a to 10a on 103.3FM ESPN, my friend, Steven Gribin hosts a great golf show.  Over the past few months I have been doing a question and answer segment at 9:15am.  It has been so much fun.  It has given me the chance to meet a number of the PGA Tour Players and I even got to go to Augusta for The Masters.

I hope you will give a listen.  Send me some questions to answer.  But no laughing.

Low Back Pain -- What a Pain
The majority of back pain patients have not experienced any trauma, accidents or major injuries prior to the onset of their problem. The cause of most back pain is the cumulative affect of improper sitting posture, poor work habits, incorrect lifting, lack of proper exercise and other lifestyle-related factors. All of these factors cause stress and imbalances on the spine and eventually pain. This is why people often injure their back by just bending over to pick up a piece of paper. The spine was already compromised and just the simple act of bending was enough to set off the problem. When this occurs, the surrounding back muscles go into spasm to protect the stressed or injured tissues of the back. In the US, low back pain is one of the most common conditions and one of the leading causes of physician visits. In fact, at least four out of five adults will experience low back pain at some point in their lives.Thirty-one million Americans have low back pain at any given time. One half of all working Americans admit to having back symptoms each year. One third of all Americans over age 18 had a back problem in the past five years severe enough for them to seekprofessional help. And the cost of this care is estimated to be a staggering $50 Billion yearly--and that's just for the more easily identified costs!

Chiropractic care works on correcting misaligned or out of place vertebrae and can remove the pressure placed on the nerve endings that line the surface of the joint and course through the space between the joints, reducing pain and improving flexibility and function.  To see if chiropractic may be able to help you call (817) 348-8488 today for a complimentary consultation.

We want to take a moment and thank our new friends, Jerry Johnson, the General Manager of Luke Lockers and his Promotions Coordinator, Jennifer.  Luke's moved their Fort Worth store to Montgomery Plaza and they have been terrific in introducing us to so many of their runners.  If you are interesting in preparing for a special run, check out the Luke's Locker practice programs.  Also, in need of any workout clothes.. I have never seen a better selection.

Also, a special thanks to our friends at the Fort Worth Runners Club.  Sam and Manny run a great organization.  If you like to run, go to www.fwrunnersclub.org and check out their fabulous calendar of events.

If you have a special group or company that you think might be interested in letting us screen their people, please give Pam a call at the office, 817.348.8488.  We'll make sure you get all the credit for making your friends or fellow employees feel better.  Better health is just a chiropractor away.

We miss you
To finish are first year anniversary month, we want you to stop by for a free adjustment and, if you bring a friend, I will do their initial examination and x-rays for FREE.

Hope you like our first addition.  We'll keep working to bring you the best information possible.
