Bathroom remodel in Albany Double Take
Do you have a guest bath that is doing double time as the kids' bathroom? If the answer is yes, then you might want to consider how you can make that room both functional for the children and appealing to your guests.
Even a small bathroom can usually accommodate a double sink if the space is reconfigured correctly. Two sinks are the height of luxury: two children can brush their teeth or wash their faces at the same time. No pushing or shoving to vie for first place - that will be a thing of the past.
More luxury is added with two separate mirrors: two people can primp, apply makeup, shave or work on that cowlick without standing in line.
As for the guests, they can have their choice of the left or right sink and mirror. A beautifully designed and appointed guest bath speaks volumes for the homeowner. |

Just Passing Through
A popular feature of kitchens past and present is the pass-through counter from the kitchen to the dining room. Key space is utilized two ways: the upper space can be filled with cabinets, and below is a several-feet-high opening to the countertop perfect for placing platters of food, drinks, pitchers, and anything else that needs to go on the dining room table. On the other side, used plates, cups, silverware, napkins any anything else that must return to the kitchen can be passed through from the dining room.
Not only does this save steps and time, it also reduces the chance of spillage while transferring food and beverages to the table.
The opening itself offers a connection between the two rooms, while the upper cabinets maintain the distinction between them. Additional natural light from each room can filter into the other. Aesthetically and functionally the pass-through counter space is a winner.
