Halloween Block Party

Halloween Block Party Collage

Thanks to all who came out to the First Annual Downtown Halloween Block Party.  The event was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many children and families downtown enjoying the festivities.  Thanks to the many organizations and businesses who participated to make this event so special.

A special thanks to Sam & Yuri for donating their time and talent to fill Pickering Square with music and the spirit of Halloween.

The Outdoor Market hosted 20 vendors and more than 20 businesses participated in the trick or treating.  Over 200 children participated in the trick or treating!  We hope to make this event even bigger next year!

If you have any pictures from the event please share with Shirar or post on the Downtown Bangor facebook fan page.

A New Downtownbangor.com is Coming!

We are diligently working to update www.downtownbangor.com by the end of 2010 (and optimistically before the holidays).  This new and much improved site will give downtown Bangor the professional and business oriented image we need while incorporating the hip-ness of our nightlife and arts and cultural scenes.

The new site will feature a calendar to which you can post events, business listings, information for business (and potential business owners), residents, visitors and much more.

We are counting on you to assure the information we have on your business is up to date.  If your information differs from what we have posted on our current website or you are NOT listed and believe you are in the downtown district please contact us ASAP.

We will keep you posted on our progress.
