The result is a timeless fable of love that manages to be nostalgic and universal at the same time.

Audition Notice: "The Noodle Doodle Box"

Auditions for Noodle Doodle Box by Paul Maar will take place on Wednesday, February 9 at 7:00pm at the Sutter Street Theatre annex, 710 Figueroa, Folsom.Noodle Doodle Box  The Annex is the white building across the alleyway behind the theatre.  Enter the door marked "office" on the side of the building.

Noodle Doodle Box is a delightfully absurd play for young children. It is about two clowns, Zacharias and Pepper, who are constantly squabbling,  both verbally  and physically. Then along comes the mysterious Drum Major, a trickster who makes the clowns re-evaluate their friendship.  Lessons about authority and relationships are portrayed with wacky slapstick comedy that appeals to young children--and will delight all ages!

Three teenage actors are needed, either male or female.  The roles are very physical.

Rehearsals are in the afternoons from 4:30pm-6:30pm, Monday through Thursday, March 7-17 plus 7:00pm-10:00pm during Tech Week March 20-24.

Performances are on Saturdays, at 4:00pm from March 26 through April 30.  The play is about 45 minutes in length.

Please bring a headshot and resume if you have them.

The show is directed by Maggie Upton.
