"The Golden Harp" is a clever and genuinely funny musical history lesson on Greek mythology. Tuneful songs with clever arrangements jump out in a variety of pop genres while introducing us to the comic side of Zeus, Haides, and Demeter. With humor and creativity "The Golden Harp" cleverly tells the story of how Persephone becomes Queen of the Underworld AND the Princess of Spring, while making the gods accessibly human. Originally debuted at the B Street Theatre, this production, written by Greg Alexander with music by Noah Arguss & Greg Alexander, promises to bring delight to all ages while teaching them in the process (but don't tell the kids). Marcus Crowder of the Sacramento Bee wrote of the B Street production: "The Golden Harp" is a clever and genuinely funny history lesson on Greek mythology.
