GALA CELEBRATION - SEPTEMBER 19

Get ready for a CELEBRATION!!!
 
As Stage Nine Theatre finishes our third year we are presenting a GALA CELEBRATION on SEPTEMBER 19 with shows, receptions, discounts and special announcements. 
 
We are proud of the fact that we received 39 Elly nominations for excellence in theatre; more than any other theatre in the 10 county Sacramento region.  As a thank you to our supporters and encouragement to friends we have yet to meet, we are offering the following...

AFTERNOON EVENTS
 
In the afternoon at 1:00pm we present the classic tale of Charlotte's Web.  Following the play is a reception with the cast and an Art Show featuring student artists of all ages from our Oil Painting Workshop.  All Charlotte's Web ticket holders will receive 50% off all store merchandise.  Do your Christmas shopping early!
 
In addition, we will be revealing our 2010 season and Flex Tickets purchased on Saturday will receive a 10% discount.

EVENING EVENTS

Then in the evening our GIANT EVENING GALA takes place.

In the Theatre from 6:00pm - 7:00pm will be the first hour of Garbeau's Mini Concert with wonderful entertainment for your enjoyment directed by Mark Ferreira.
 
At 7:00pm will be a Champagne Reception including an Art Show featuring works of our student artists.
 
At the reception you can see our 2010 season PLUS our new logo and name and meet Mark Ferreira, former owner of Garbeau's who is joining our team as Marketing Director, accompanist and all around good guy.  You will also meet the rest of the Stage Nine staff.
 
At 8:00pm will be the second hour of the Garbeau's Mini Concert.
 
All guests will receive a 10% discount on Flex Tickets plus 50% off purchases of store & gallery merchandise - start your Christmas Shopping Early.

All this for a donation of only $25 BUT if you donate more, you will receive additional benefits.  (see below)

You can make donations to the Stage Nine's non-profit Theatre Production and Technical Academy and receive the following benefits.  Donations help us continue to provide quality productions and superior teaching and are tax deductible.

$30 minimum donation - includes a Litho of "Flying over Sacramento", this is an exclusive Litho to Stage Nine and celebrates 55 years of the Disney Movie Peter Pan.
 
$50 or more donation - includes a Litho of "Flying over Sacramento" hand signed by the artist, the voice of Wendy and the model for Tinkerbell
 
$200 or more donation- includes all of the above PLUS a five pack of Flex Tickets for either our family theatre or our main stage productions.

New Workshops and Classes
 
Fall Musical Theatre Workshop

Beginning Oct. 1 will be our Fall Musical Theatre Workshop "Long Live Rock & Roll".  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm and Saturday mornings from 10:00am-noon through November 12.  Following the workshop will be performances on Friday 11/13 & 20 at 7:30 and Saturdays and Sundays from 11/ 14 through 11/29 at 1:00pm.  Directed by Connie Mockenhaupt and Susan Mason with assistance from Allen Schmeltz and Mark Ferreira, this workshop provides students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a musical production.
 
"Long Live Rock & Role" involves the Gordon Girl's Academy that is about to be foreclosed upon and the efforts to save the day and raise money by having a Rock Star perform in concert.  There are many fun characters including the Hillbillies who own the school.  Set in the 50's this show will provide the opportunity to sing, dance and act while learning and enhancing various skills in a fun and safe environment.  Ages 9 - 18 are welcome!

Musical Theatre Voice & Performance Class
 
Mark Ferreira will be conducting a Musical Theatre Voice and Performance Class on Fridays from 3:30-5:30 beginning October 2.  Call (916) 353-1001 for information.
 
Ongoing Classes and Lessons

We provide ongoing Workshops and Lessons in performing and visual arts for all ages taught by Allen Schmeltz, Mike Jimena, and Susan Mason.  Call (916) 353-1001 for further information.
