The 2008, Milk-to-Meat, Faith-life Graduation
An End-Time Experience

Graduates 3Regal, blessed, gratifying, thankful are a few words expressing the sentiments of this year's Faith-life graduates.  May 21st  marked the graduation of another successful class of servants who are expected to impact lives for Jesus Christ.

SpikesThe graduates and academic procession marched in from all directions to fill the platform of the Westside Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas.  The husband and wife team of Toronto and Sheryl Spikes who completed the program with highest honors launched the event.

Lynda JacksonLynda Jackson reminded the believers of the Milk-to-Meat themes and principles in each Trimester.  As a final assignment the graduates assembled as the Milk-to-Meat choir accompanied by a mini-orchestra section and offered end-of-the-age renditions of Kirk Franklin's  "Always" and "When I Get There." The music coincided with the night's end-time theme, Are You on the King's Right or Left?

Dr. DavidSon 1The scheduled graduation speaker encountered a family medical crisis and was unable to attend.  In his place, Dr. DavidSon stretched the hearts and minds of the graduates and audience with the Eight Mes in Matthew 25 demonstrating that Jesus' instructions to give water to the thirsty, food to the hungry, clothes to the naked, and visit those imprisoned must be accompanied by sharing "Me" that is, Jesus as the purpose for the benevolent acts.

GraduatesThe night concluded with each graduate being adorned with red stoles to commemorate their preparation for service and symbolic of the Spirit's anointing.  The graduates marched out in high fashion.   Congratulations to this year's Faith-life graduates.

Two New Advanced Mastery Licensed, Christ-based Counselors Represent This Quarter's Credentialed Counselors

CounCorbittCounselor MuldrowChrist-based Counseling Laws and Policy, Christ-based Counseling Plan, Basic Christ-based Counseling, Comparative Therapies, The Process of Being Made Whole,  CBC Marriage, CBC Depression, CBC Addiction, and Faith-life program (Milk-to-Maturity) represent the programming required to become an Advanced Mastery Licensed, Christ-based Counselor.

Like special forces in the military who go over and beyond the call of duty to be the ultimate warriors, the Advanced Mastery Licensing Program (AMLP) is for servants desiring multi-dimensional preparation to minister to God's people.  The AMLP represents an interdisciplinary healing and equipping ministry that responds to challenges experienced by believers and their families.

We are pleased to feature two new counselors who have successfully completed the program among others.  David Corbitt (shown left) is in his fifth year serving as Assistant Pastor at the Tabernacle of Praise in Colorado Spring, Colorado.  Among other ministries he's responsible for counseling education.  Phil Muldrow (shown right) is a deacon with the Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Bedford, Ohio. Among other responsibilities, he and his wife Lelia lead the church's marriage ministry.  He's also launched his own Christ-based Counseling practice.  We salute both of these servants of God among others who completed their credential program this quarter.

cbclogoChrist-based Counseling, Sexuality Becomes Credential Program
Marriage Minister of Major Church Caught in Sex-Sting

Minister BarronWe've maintained that there's a major issue concerning sexuality with believers nationwide.  This was evident when marriage minister (Joe Barron) with the mega-ministry, Prestonwood Baptist in Plano, Texas   was caught in a sex-sting operation.  As long as ministries  ignore these activities and their prevalence in the typical ministry, these acts will continue to be repeated.  There's no argument that the issue of sexuality is a major concern for believers. Christ-based Counseling, Sexuality is the exclusive Christ-based Counseling book on sexuality.  Whether you are counseling marriage, singles, homosexuality, or teens this certification program will help you with a well designed Christ-based approach to help believers.  Remember the Barron's in your prayers.

Featured A3CEES Ministry Support Leader (Dr. Jerry Huey)

Dr HueyIf you have ever considered matriculating with the CollegePlex, you have probably met Dr. Jerry Huey and his staff.  Dr. Huey is the president of Potters Bible College, and the College of Professional Christian Studies.
A tireless and humble spirit, he does whatever necessary to support kingdom building.  In a day when ministry-leaders stop preparing, Dr. Huey is a servant leader who is always involved in the development and preparation process for Jesus Christ.  Among his many responsibilities he's also the Servant Leader of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Merced, California.  Dr. Huey has an earned-doctorate in Christian Education, and a Master of Theology. He and his team provide an assortment of ministry related services in the local community.  We commend him for his work in the kingdom, and we thank Dr. Huey for his critical contributions to A3CEES.

Ministry Sensitive Programs

Maintain Ministry Vitality and

Avoids Making Debtors of God's Servants

DrDavidSononDepMinistries are the first to feel the effects of economic downturns.  Ahead-of-the-game, A3CEES with ministry sensitive tuition and fees maintain ministry vitality through these periods.  One of the operations principles of A3CEES is what we call "ministry sensitive tuition." This means we desire to offer qualitative and viable licensure and educational programs for ministry service without making a believer a debtor.  During this period, we are discovering as a nation that assuming major debt is a stifling plague.  We are dedicated to ensuring that we develop God's people without making them debtors.

The A3CEES' scholarship programs have been very successful.  We continue to attract believers nationwide into the licensing, and Christian educational programs.  We are so pleased that many of you have responded in such a marvelous way.

If you enter programming that equips you for service, God will open the doors of opportunity. Thanks for choosing us. Dr. DavidSon.

Sixty Two Percent AWOL Membership (A Pressing Issue for Pastors and Church Leaders Concerned About Souls ... A Mission Field Within the Walls of the Local Church)

Dr.DavidSon CMOThe Christ-based concept is that we leave the ninety-nine to find the one.  The problem has been with churches as long as I can recall.  People join a local fellowship, and you rarely if ever see them again. We all gravitate toward numbers.  Our church has 5,000 members.  Our church has 10,000 members.  Our church has 50,000.   You know the term.  We call them mega-churches.

Last week (week of June 9th) the nation's largest and most prestigious protestant denomination held their annual conference.  They have more hospitals, schools, churches, foreign missionaries, finances, and consulting resources than any other protestant denomination. My point is, they know the numbers.  They report that on any given Sunday only 38% of their six-teen million members nationwide actively attend church. If you know anything about inferential statistics, you realize this is a massive sample - even if it's not scientific.

That is, while there are exceptions, this is probably the case with the majority of the local churches regardless of the denomination.   This is an age-old problem that is referred to as the "back-door."  People join a church in the front door and slip out of the back-door as it were.  It is evident in practically every local church, BUT 62% AWOL.

I think you would agree with me, this is absolutely unacceptable.  And this particular denomination agreed.  My conscience church experience covers more than 40 years, and I recall church leaders wrestling with this issue.  Well, this denomination experienced a major breakthrough.  What was the breakthrough?  By resolution, they declared what they call, "Regenerate Church Membership."  Actually, it is rather controversial.  Among other recommendations, they are recommending to their clergy leaders to uphold higher standards for membership (i.e., discipleship) and reduce their membership rolls if necessary to reflect attendance and not persons who simply show an interest on a given day.  As you can imagine, the arguments against this are endless.

Given certain follow-up and discipleship care provisions with new "pre-members," I agree wholeheartedly with the concept, and I believe it also underscores a larger issue.  Even the way we have introduced discipleship to potential converts since the 1960s has contributed to the dilemma.  Rightfully moving away from salvation by works, we have contributed to what I call, "welfare Christians." Please allow me to use the term.  In many cases we simply want persons to raise-a-hand, or say a few magic words and they get the benefits.  This is where the follow-up and discipleship care early-on is as important as the evangelistic effort.  Satan and his organization is right-there waiting to destroy any effort that is not followed with an immediate and relentless care-effort.  Jesus' illustration of the four hearers is all we need to know to understand the satanic operation.  Nevertheless, I will be talking more about this in the future, and I have some robust concepts that could be helpful with churches of any size.  Meanwhile, let's not forget the 38% while we launch internal-evangelistic efforts to find the 62%.  There's a mission field within the walls of the local church.

When You Encounter Website Course Errors

On occasion we have persons who report that a page, or something is giving an error when they attempt to submit an assignment or exam.

As you can imagine, we have numerous students accessing courses and pages at any given time.  So, please observe the following:

1. Make sure you have entered information correctly, and click the submit button.

2. Your level of firewall security must be lowered or turned-off.

3. Use Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser.

4. Also, remember that maximum server usage occurs between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Eastern weekdays, and 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Eastern weekdays.

5. The very best times are early morning hours, late evenings, and weekends.

Usually, this will fix whatever is causing the error when you attempt to submit an assign-ment.

Here's other tips: Always save your information.  Do this by dragging the web page, copy, and paste it to a Word document.  Then save the document with a name.

Also, if desired, you can read the questions on the web-page and type your answers into a Word document. You can attach the Word document to an email, and submit your assignment or examination by email.

Immediately, we will begin responding within minutes  by text message when you identify a system problem.  Wait momentarily, and you may receive a text message responding to your specific issue.

Thanks again for your patience.

Forgiven Offenders Ministry Continues to Reach-Out and Minister for Jesus

MinisterSparlingOur FO Ministry continues to find its sea-legs.  Led by Jackie Sparling (left), we have a number of initiatives including: Workshops and worship services for forgiven offenders, specialized counseling, and other tangible supports.  Jackie maintains an eye on legislation and regularly coordinates with other organizations.  However, A3CEES' FO ministry represents a significant change compared to similar offender ministries.  Please pray for A3CEES and Jackie as they minister and work with persons who are shunned by the typical church ministry.  While man may never forgive a person, thank the Lord, we serve a forgiving God.
