St. Patrick Day Parade |
Bob Duenkel decorated his truck for the Annual Fort lauderdale St. Patrick's Day Parade. ISHOF volunteers passed out over 1500 flyers promoting the Centennial Celebration of the Beach and the swimming and diving events surrounding the May Honoree Induction Ceremony.

The International Swimming Hall of Fame is partnering with the Shanghai Sports Administration and Shanghai Sports Museum to create an Exhibition on the history of Olympic Swimming for the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships that will take place this summer, July 16 - 30, 2011 at the new Oriental Sports Center, in Shanghai. In preparation for the World Championships, the Chinese National Diving Team - the best team in the world - will be in Fort Lauderdale for training April 26 through May 4 and will be competing in the AT&T / USA Diving Grand Prix, May 5 - 8, at the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

DR. JANE KATZ TO BE INDUCTED INTO NATIONAL JEWISH SPORTS HALL OF FAME ON MARCH 27
Jane Katz Will Become 10th Swimmer to be Enshrined, Joining Mark Spitz, Dara Torres, Jason Lezak & 6 Other Greats of the Sport
NEW YORK, March 9, 2011- Jane Katz, a world class swimmer for more than 50 years who at age 67 continues to win championships around the world, will be among eight inductees into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum on March 27. Katz will join nine other swimmers - including Mark Spitz, Dara Torres and Jason Lezak - in the Hall, as well as a roster of Jewish sports luminaries including Sandy Koufax, Hank Greenberg, Red Auerbach and Howard Cosell. The ceremony will take place starting at 10:30am at the Museum, which is located in the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center in Commack , NY . |
