Rio de Janeiro is know for its famous Carnaval during the month of February, where the Samba Schools compete for the annual title during a 2-day event (parade) at a place called Sambadrome. Each Samba School represents a different underprivileged communities from Rio de Janeiro, but people from all over the world (regardless of social-class or race) can also purchase a costume and participate in the parade.
The final decision that determines the winner is based on the votes of a committee that evaluates each Samba school in several categories.

Açai Roots Social-Responsible February Project.
 Açai Roots™ will be donating part of the revenue acquired from this Month's specials (newsletter promotions) to an organization in Tijuana, Mexico that takes care of 24 children in need.
The biggest obstacle the organization currently faces is the fact that they do not have money for electricity and there is no refrigerator at their housing facility - thus creating a huge problem to keep food at an eatable condition. Açai Roots wants to help these young children by providing the institution a Solar Panel, which would give them enough electricity to carry a refrigerator.
This little aid will cause a very positive impact in their lives, since a refrigerator is necessary for basic needs.

Chef Roots came to our office last week and shared his latest Açaí Bowl recipe! We highly recommend you to try this tasty, healthy and energetic recipe! Have an açaí bowl for breakfast, as a mid-day snack or replace a meal.

Ingredients:- 2 Açai Roots Pure Açaí Frozen Pouches
- 1 sliced Frozen Banana (slice the banana and place in a ziplock bad. Put it in the freezer until frozen)
- 4 Frozen Strawberries
- A splash of your preferred Milk (soy, skin, etc)
- A splash of your favorite juice (apple, pomegranate, etc)
- 4 tablespoons of Oatmeal
- Granola
How to Make it:
Using a blender, blend all ingredients together (except the granola). If necessary, use a spoon to help the ingredients mix well. Once everything is at your desired consistency. Place the content in a bowl and top it with granola!
