Southern Style Quartet Concert moved
In a Benefit Concert Friday, March 30, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at Forsyth Presbyterian Church which is just 1 block behind the Rose Theater on the corner of Jackson and W. Adams Street in Forsyth. All proceeds benefit the Rose Theater. Tickets are $12 and are available at Smart Shoppes on the Square and at the Door. Raffle of Play Scape built by Mary Persons Construction Class ends his week
Monroe Reads Community Action Team still has tickets for the play scape raffle. The drawing will be held March 30th at 5 pm. Tickets are $10 and available at The Farmers Bank, Shoppes on the Square, parents coordinators at K. B. Sutton and Hubbard Elementary or Monroe Reads members. This structure was designed and built by students in Mr. D. J. Hurm's Construction classes at Mary Persons High School. All proceeds benefit the Monroe Reads with Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy and provides books for all registered children from birth to age 5, free of charge. These quality books help to improve early literacy for children in our community. Eggs and Issues with Monroe County Education
This month's event is sponsored by Oglethorpe Power and is focused on Education. Join other chamber members on April 4 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., at the Board of Education for our monthly networking breakfast. Get an update on education in Monroe County and how it can affect you and your business. The address of the Board of Education is 25 Brooklyn Ave.  Attendees are requested to park in the large, open parking lot on the left side of the complex and enter through the main BOE entrance. The 2012 Noodles for Poodles benefit for Save A Pet, Inc. scheduled for Thursday, April 19, at Grits Cafe is canceled.
