On March 24 preview original artwork on display by local artists and Spring & Summer fashions beginning at 11:30 a.m. with luncheon served at 12:30 p.m. Featuring artwork from Monroe County Arts Alliance and clothing from Noell's of Thomaston. You can view and purchase your favorites of either on site. Tickets are $25.00 per person. Monroe Reads Community Action Team still has tickets for the play scape raffle. The drawing will be held March 30th at 5 pm. Tickets are $10 and available at The Farmers Bank, Shoppes on the Square, parents coordinators at K. B. Sutton and Hubbard Elementary or Monroe Reads members. This structure was designed and built by students in Mr. D. J. Hurm's Construction classes at Mary Persons High School. All proceeds benefit the Monroe Reads with Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy and provides books for all registered children from birth to age 5, free of charge. These quality books help to improve early literacy for children in our community.
