Monroe County Family Connection Meeting
| |
Please make plans to attend the next Family Connection Collaborative meeting on Tuesday, March 13 at 12 pm. Partners are welcome to come to the meeting room at the Prime Palette as early as 11:30 to grab lunch from the buffet! (Partners are responsible for their own lunch)
They have lots to discuss at this meeting and need their community partner's input! They will preview Family Connection's annual plan, review a draft of the Union Hill Resident Survey, and learn how to access the Family Connection Resource Directory on-line. They will also discuss an upcoming financial literacy event with their new partner, Robins Federal Credit Union. As always, they look forward to hearing all about your current initiatives! Thanks for all you do for our community!

Macon Occupational Medicine OSHA Initiatives for 2012

In an effort to help our clients stay up to date on OSHA regulations and new initiatives, Macon Occupational Medicine is hosting a one hour seminar. This seminar will address: * OSHA Updates * Heat Illness Campaign * Reducing Falls During Construction * Top 10 Most Cited Standards (General Industry and Construction) Steve Simmons, Compliance Assistance Specialist, OSHA Atlanta East Area Office, will be our guest speaker. Steve has been with OSHA for over 10 years and has conducted more than 300 workplace inspections. He also teaches at the OSHA Training Center at Georgia Tech. MRCAT Raffle of Play Scape built by Mary Persons Construction Class

Find out about two ways you can help the Monroe Reads Community Action Team with their mission and buy a raffle ticket for a play scape constructed by the Mary Persons Construction Class. The play scape will be completed at their Forsythia Festival booth. Tickets are just $10. each and may be purchased through March 30th. Winners need not be present to win! | The 2012 Noodles for Poodles benefit for Sav A Pet is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 5:30 to 9pm, at Grits Cafe and the courthouse square in Forsyth. We've got about a month to polish up the pooches before hitting the square. Don't miss the return of the Pasta dinner silent auction, Barky Bakery, Live Music and more!
