In an effort to continue meeting the academic needs of our students and monitor expenses, the Board of Education, at its December 13, 2011 meeting, heard a proposal to make changes to their current organizational structure. Your input is critical as a parent and community member.  Please take time to provide feedback using the link below and/or by attending the meeting on January 5, 2012.

 

Eggs and Issues  - It's Tax Season, Are you ready?
Join the Chamber and other members on January 11 from 7:30 to 9 am, to hear about new changes that can affect your business and what you can do to prepare yourself. Please note due to the holidays Eggs and Issues is postponed one week so mark your calendar and plan to find out what changes have occurred that could affect your business. Register now.

 

Brickyard at Riverside offer of Unlimited Golf
Give yourself the gift of Unlimited Golf for one flat monthly fee this Holiday Season! Paperwork must be completed by no later than Friday, December 30, 2011 for a beginning date of January 1, 2012. New Members must submit their membership application to the Membership Committee for approval as well as elect the Unlimited Golf Program by December 30th. Forsythia Festival entertainment applications are now available online
The Forsythia Festival has opened the applications for our community stage. This year's festival is going to be a wonderful treat, and we want you involved. If you have a performance group or a band and would like to perform on our community stage, please visit our website, www.forsythiafestival.com. Remember, our festival stage is reserved for community performers to showcase their talent, whether it is music, dance, etc. These performers are not compensated for their performance.

Middle Georgia Consortium can assist business owners with funds to hire new employees

If you would like to hire new full-time employees there are funds available for an On-the-Job Training Program that may be the vehicle you need to get you over the hump. Presently, Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc. has money available to assist.  To qualify for this assistance, the individual must meet either an income guideline, or be laid off from their last place of employment, live within the (Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc. (Area 11) for their assistance.

GDOT Connect Central Georgia Study

The Georgia Department of Transportation is conducting the Connect Central Georgia Study, a 31- county transportation corridor study examining access, mobility, and safety from Columbus to Macon to Augusta, Georgia. As part of the public outreach for this Study, GDOT has developed an Online Survey which seeks feedback on transportation needs and opportunities within the study area. We need your help with this outreach effort! We request your assistance in the Department's outreach by including a link to our study website with a request to complete the Online Survey located on the website.
