Holiday Business After Hours
The December Business After Hours willl be hosted by Monroe County Library on Tuesday, December 20 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Take a break for yourself and have some refreshments while networking and discussing you business plans for 2012 or get a few last minute gift ideas.
 
Middle Georgia Consortium can assist business owners with funds to hire new employees

If you would like to hire new full-time employees there are funds available for an On-the-Job Training Program that may be the vehicle you need to get you over the hump. Presently, Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc. has money available to assist.  To qualify for this assistance, the individual must meet either an income guideline, or be laid off from their last place of employment, live within the (Middle Georgia Consortium, Inc. (Area 11) for their assistance.

Ballroom Dance Lessons for Forsythia Gala
In preparation for the 25th Anniversary Forsythia Gala the chamber will continue to offer discounted ballroom dance lessons with Dance with Donna on Johnstonville Road. The lessons will be every Saturday in January from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The lessons cost $100 per couple for all four lessons. The lessons are a fabulous way to learn from the beginning (or sharpen the skills you have already).  You may also want to consider giving the lessons as a special Christmas gift to someone you know. Longest Night Service at Forsyth United Methodist Church
Christmas can be a painful time for some. It may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died; it may be a time that has always been difficult. Ag Forecast Seminars
It's time to register for the 2012 annual Ag Forecast seminars closest to you. They are also including a networking lunch to give you time to meet and catch up with those around you. In each session, the UGA faculty will give an overview of the upcoming season, and a regional speaker will discuss farm labor, one of the hottest topics in Georgia agriculture right now.
