GREAT SEAFOOD SPECIALS THIS WEEK
This week we are introducing two great seafood dishes:
AT MEZANOTTE
Zuppa Di Pesce - $26
Do you like seafood? Then you will love this dish. This recipe from the Amalfi coast is interpreted in many different ways across Italy as they celebrate their local varieties of seafood. Our interpretation is mussles, clams, shrimp, sole fish, squid and fresh San Marzano tomatoes steamed in white wine. The dish is slightly spicy but you can ask for extra spice or no spice at all. You can even ask that it be served over pasta if you'd like!
AT PIQUEO
Escabeche de Pescado - $23
Another Peruvian dish with a romantic past. It is believed to be of arabic origin (via Spain). The star of the dish, of course, is a filet of Corvina (white, flaky flesh fish similar to snapper) cooked with red onions, Peruvian aji amarillo, vinegar and other spices. Really delicious!

CALLING ALL BOURBON LOVERS!!
Yes...we are calling all Bourbon lovers. This week we are introducing our newest Tasting Flight of Spirits with four fabulous Bourbons:
Woodford Reserve Bourbon
The nose is quite woody and has light notes charcoal and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is smooth with subtle spice. It has a delicate woody sweetness, but not quite as potent as the nose. The finish is long and dry with a flowery twist. A hint of wood still lingers.
Willet Family Estate Rye
This rare release is a straight rye whiskey bottled from the family estate. Aged in hand selected white oak barrels for four years and hand bottled. Look for citrus, woody forest and butter in the nose with butterscotch, grains, mint, salt and spice on the palate and hints of cedar, earth and vanilla on the finish all wrapped up in a smooth, sophisticated style.
Angel's Envy Bourbon Whiskey
Finished in port wine barrels, it has one of the most sensual bouquets ever nosed on a bourbon. Soft, gentle and with aromas of warm caramels, maple candy, brown sugar and praline, the bouquet is a study in subtle complexities. It offers a rich mouthfeel and a sumptuous banquet of flavors on the palate. The effect of the port barrel finish is evident in the sophistication and complexity of flavors, everything is perfectly balanced and the port doesn't overwhelm the natural bourbon flavors but instead perfectly complements it. Vanilla bundt cake, cinnamon, mint and orange flavors abound with a delicious burnt sugar undertone and solid oak.
Booker Noe's Bourbon
A runaway locomotive. A high-alcohol, barrel-proof spirit that is almost overpowering. It has a smoky, charcoal aroma that draws you into its sweet, hot world. It should be drunk cut with water, which exposes sweet and woody flavors through the long finish. This is probably the absolute best bourbon available.
The 4, one ounce pours - $19
Hope you have a chance to try them.
Cheers!

OUR NEW BLOG
Its not really new as I have been posting on and off for a while. The problem is that it had become my outlet to complain about some situations at the restaurants. But that is wrong - I don't think that what I was writing about was entertaining or educational or anything!!
So I decided to refocus and make it a place where I can share interesting things with you. Right now I am focusing on Wine and Food (surprised?)
So, hopefully, you will enjoy visiting every now and then.
