SNEAK PREVIEW: PRESS RELEASE "OUR WAY"
You probably have noticed that we like to do things a bit differently. So sending out a Press Release was an opportunity to do something special. To that end we have put together a video that explains our new restaurant, Piqueo, its menu and a little bit of history about Peruvian cuisine.
The video is 15 minutes long (which I believe is too long) and we are working on cutting it down into more "digestible", smaller, pieces. But I was so excited about it that I thought of sending it to you as a "Sneak Preview" before sending it out to the media. I hope you like it:

SPECIALS AT PIQUEO
We are excited coming up with new specials. We hope you like them! For this week:
 
CONCHITAS A LA PARMESANA - $9
From the southern coast of Perú. Jumbo scallops flambeed in pisco, well seasoned and topped with parmesan cheese. Gratinated in the oven to medium rare. Just squeeze some lime juice and prepare for an experience!
 
GNOCCHI PIQUEO - $8
Our creation using purple and yellow potatoes. Exquisite pan seared potato dumplings accompanied with a beautiful white wine sauce and oyster mushrooms sautéed with our house made Salchicha de Huacho (sausage made with pork and our unique spices).

MEDALLONES TRES SALSAS - $31
Another of our own creations: 3 tenderloin medallions topped with three of our signature sauces: the Panca Demi Glass made with Peruvian Panca peppers; the Tequila and Epazote sauce; and our own Huacatay Sauce. Served with Mashed Purple Potato and sautéed kale.
NEW WHISKEYS AT MEZZANOTTE
We are very happy to announce the latest additions to our list of fine spirits at Mezzanotte. This week we focused on American Whisky and included the first fine blend from Texas!

While we focused in American whiskeys at Mezzanotte we decided to focus on super fine Tequilas at Piqueo.

Deliciously savory imported Robiola cheese stuffed into a "purse" made with Italian mortadella. Delicately seared and served on top of spinach sauteed with pine nuts and golden raisins.

Imported burrata served with home made Basil Pesto, Salsa Romesco, and Black Olive Tapenade.
 

LOBSTER MEZZANOTTE - $28

Our interpretation of lobster Thermidor includes the exotic aroma and flavor of saffron. Served over pappardelle pasta with sautéed asparagus segments and roasted cherry tomatoes.

 

BISTECCA CON PORCINI

FILET MIGNON - $32

RIB EYE - $29

Our "secret" rub mix includes the earthy and fabulous porcini mushroom. Overnight rest with the rub on ensures a unique flavor and tenderness. We recommend medium-rare but you can have it any way you'd like.
