NEW SPECIAL SPECIALS
I am SO very happy to have downsized to one restaurant. Now I have the time to do new and exciting things. Our specials are back to being real specials and this week we have 3 new items. In the appetizer (or Tapa) section we have a terrific Shrimp and Roasted Garlic Ravioli in a Vodka Sauce - you can also order it as a main if you'd like. In the main course section we are having a succulent Veal Chop with Crimini Mushrooms and a Madeira Sauce. And in the dessert section we have a Trio Sampler of Chocolate Hot Fudge Cake, Key Lime Cake, and Red Velvet Layer Cake.
Hope you come and try some of our featured specials. |
MONDAY NIGHT FAMILY DINNER
And among the new things we are trying is a Family Style Dinner on Monday night. We will be serving trays of food for parties of 4 or more people. We will have pasta dishes, chicken dishes, appetizer dishes, dessert dishes, etc. Believe me, it will be plenty of food. And the charge will be $20 per person. Our by-the-glass wines will be priced at $5.
So come on down on Monday night for Family Dinner! |
A NEW US CITIZEN AT MEZZANOTTE!
On Tuesday our family took the morning off to go with Adriana to her Naturalization Ceremony. Yes, she is now a US Citizen!! The ceremony took place in the huge gymnasium of the Aldin High School. Over 1,300 people from 103 countries took the oath and became US citizens. Our good friends Phil and Cici Christian came with us and one of Phil's comments hit home: "we take a lot for granted". Yes we do, I became a US citizen about 12 years ago and even I now take things for granted. Attending this emotive ceremony brought us all back to be thankful for living in this wonderful country. Here is a video of the national Anthem as sung by an officer of the Marshall's office:
And here is Adriana after receiving her Naturalization Certificate. It was a happy day for all of us!

Yes, we will be open on Sunday because I know that some of you will want to celebrate early and others would want to celebrate on the exact day. The menu and all the details are coming soon but I just wanted to alert you that you will have the choice of 3 days to celebrate! |
TRAVEL ADVENTURE OF 2011
And our 2011 Travel Adventure is being drafted as I write this newsletter. In 2009 we went to Tuscany, Italy. In 2010 we went to Mendoza, Argentina. And in 2011 we will be going to PERU! This will be an amazing "gastro-tour". If you didn't know Peru's cuisine has become ranked as a top world cuisine and is gaining a lot of attention. I will write more about it in the next weeks.
Please let me know if you are interested in joining us. The departure date is tentatively set for Friday April 22. I will be publishing all the details soon. |
