Come to hear Kevin sing at Mezzanotte as he is rapidly becoming a favorite.  Kevin has been singing since his junior high days in Kansas. His repertoire include jazz, country and oldies songs. I am sure you will love him! He is a great addition to our list of entertainers.

isa is the 2004 winner of KPRC TV's Houston's Gimme the Mike.  Lisa was selected out of 1600 contestants.  Scoring a perfect 40 with a soul grabbing delivery of "Over the Rainbow", Lisa won the competition.  She has also performed live on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and sang the national anthem for the televised game of the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.

NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION

OK. Here are the details for our New Year's Eve Celebration:

  • Two seatings:
    • Early: we have openings for 5:00, 5:15 and 5:30 PM. You can reserve in any of those 3 slots (until they get fully booked).
    • Late: we have openings for 8:45; 9:00; 9:15; and 9:30. You can reserve in any of those 4 slots (until they get fully booked).
  • The price is $55/person for the early seating and $65/person for the late seating.
  • Early seating entertainment is saxophone jazz by the talented and cool Ronnie Stallwarth.
  • Late seating entertainment is by the fabulous Karenna Lee. Of course, we will have lots of dancing!
  • Champagne toast at midnight.
  • Our dinner will consist of a 5 course menu. We will have choices for Appetizer and Main Course. I will publish the full menu soon.

Please, please make reservations in advance as we get fully booked fast.

MEZZANOTTE'S 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY
On Saturday December 18 we will be turning 5 years old!! And to mark a new phase of our restaurant life we will be celebrating with a GRAND RE-OPENING PARTY. After spending the past 2.5 years dedicated to build up Capriccio we thought it was appropriate to celebrate our going back to basics.
We hope to see you at Mezzanotte on the 18th!
LAST WINE DINNER OF THE YEAR COMING UP
Our End of Year Wine Dinner is almost fully booked. But we still have a couple of spots so please make a reservation if you would like to enjoy some fantastic wines and some outstanding food. The date is Tuesday December 14 at 7:00 PM.
We will be sampling a Barolo, a Barbaresco, a Brunello, an Amarone. All in all we are putting together a superb night.
WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK
Many things:
  • Beers: we have a whole new array of beers for those of you that enjoy a nice cold one. We have new beers from Italy (Birra Moretti, La Rossa), Peru (Cuzquena), Spain (Inedit Estrella), Texas (Shiner Black), Ireland (Guinnes Extra Stout). And of course we have all the other popular ones (the lights, Shiner Bock, Peroni).
  • Our bar selection is growing, specially in the whisky department. We have new single malts and new blended scotches. We will soon be expanding our Vodka section too.
  • Of course our wine list is growing. We have put in our menu many new exciing wines: 3 new Argentinean Malbecs, a new Barbera, a new Barbaresco, the quintesential Sassicaia super-tuscan, new Spanish Garnacha and Monastrell wines, a fantastic Cab and a Petit Sirah from Paso Robles, California, a new Merlot from Argentina and another one from California, a new white (Vermentino) from Tuscany and a new Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. Our wine list is looking really good!
  • Specials: check out our specials menu this week. We have several new items like the Bife Cabrales Tapa, an Italian cheeses plate; a Burratta appetizer; a lamb shank Osobucco; a new strawberry cheesecake; a new pasta dish (tagliolini con crema di Piave).
